James Walker - Endless Break's Best Open Men's Surf Trick - Front side Three

Jesica Oswald - Endless Break's Best Open Women's Surf Trick - Can't read the note but it looks like some kind of Revert Shuv out, Jeff, is that right?

Dominic Lagace - Phase Five's Best Open Men's Skim Trick - Some confusion about switch backside shuv

Bri Chmel - AWSA's Best Open Women's Skim Trick 1080.

@ dtw: Yes :-) @ Show: Yes, Jessica starts revert and shuv's the board. Dom threw the trick we noted, I think he calls it something different.

Endless Break had a cool booth, they set up a tie dye your own T-shirt and had TONS of folks walking through - check my creation! They also donated a very nice board.

Right, Drew wasn't present. However, Drew/Phase Five did donate a Prize board, won By Julie Magulio. Drew also worked with Phase Five to provide sponsorship for the $250 Men's Open Skim Division Best Trick Prize.

Drew, Thanks for your support.

Show, No worries glad we could support the event. Sorry I didn't make it. I have been doing clinics like crazy and trying to get a babies room in order. Congrats to all the riders and hopefully I will make it out there next year.

The Nationals was a great event. Congrats to Big Show for coordinating the Nationals. It's amazing how many people it took to make this event so successful. There was probably a crew of at least 20 people working hard all weekend long. Sponsorship was also great. Eastwood Lake is probably one the better venues to stage an event of this magnitude. The crowd on Saturday (amateur day) was amazing. There were a lot of people that didn't know anything about wakesurfing. They heard about the event and wanted to see what wakesurfing was all about.

Saturday's crowd was huge and probably close to a dozen vendor booths.

One thing I kept hearing that everyone raved about was the live video feed from the boats so when riders were at the end of the course, we all watched on the flat panel TV and didn't miss a bit of the action even if they were on the far side of the wave or squating to land that 1080 (Bri). And who knew that 32" lcd TVs can fly and still work? LOL

The bar was set high at Nationals this year and it definitely was an Event, not just a gathering.
