now that the t23 has been announced does anyone have pics of the interior/exterior that they can share? 23'6" sounds like the perfect sized boat to me, I think this boat is going to be a home run.

It's not much but here's some initial shots from the National dealer meeting.

Initial thoughts are that this thing is going to steal a lot of sales. The 23' boat sector is easily the biggest, and this option is going to make a lot of sense to a lot of people.

Still has the ugliest rack in the industry... and it's an improvement from last years

I think it is a really good looking boat. Anyone know the MSRP on it?

Pictures look a little blurry to me to start accurately judging the rack

Somebody is going to say it so I may as well bite the bullet.... That boat looks like an SC. Maybe the interior and other details say otherwise but right now nothing screams "special" to me.

My initial opinions are I agree this will be a home run. A little surprised however that there is now a t-22 and t-23... Ill bet this replaces the t-22 as the new a22 uses the old t-22 hull. It would seem logical to me to have t-21 and t-23 and then a20, 22, 24... boat looks really good though. I still don't love the new tower but its not horrible.

I don't think the t22 is going anywhere.

Malibu has a 22 VLX and a 23 LSV as well, so it seems that they believe they've found the sweet spot.

There is still a pretty good difference between a 22 and 23' boat so I'm sure they will keep that. Look at MC, they have way more boats treading on each others toes.

The racks on that boat are the standard racks, the spinners are a lot nicer but then they are more money... I kind of like the idea of an Axis without a stack of options as the more you spend on the extras, the more you may as well have bought a Malibu!

The T22 is still in the lineup and the 2015 Hull on the A22 is NOT the 2014 T22 hull. Yes, they redesigned the A22 hull to work better with SurfGate and some of that design is from the success of the T22 but also the A24.

Anyone ever look at the SurfGate angles on the 2014 A22 compared the the A24/T22?

The Axis line now has 5 boats in the family, A series 20, 22, 24 and T series 22, 23.

I'm sure some official interior shots will be released in the next few days but for now they are all over Instagram. Check the hashtags "T23" "axiswake" and "axiswakeboats". All the dealers and attendees at the national dealer meeting are posting shots.

Here is a quick video that's shows the boat.

Yea I guess that makes sense. Now My dilemma will be to get another A24 or T23?? The interior on the A24 and A20 are still not updated like all the other models however...

I saw the similar comment in the X23 thread as well, and I guess I don't understand what you are talking about....... Way more boats? Do you mean 1 more?

MC-
1-20'er (now that the X2 is going away)
1-21'er
1-22'er
2-23'ers
2-24'ers
1-25'er

Malibu-
2-20'ers
2-22'er
1-23'er
1-24'er
1-25'er

Nautique-
1-20'er
2-21'ers
2-23'ers
1-25er

Centurion has 6 models (Not counting the 2 kite pullers), axis has 5, Tige has 7...... Basically, MC overlaps the 24' segment with the XStar. The rest of the line, is as even as any of the others.

Im uploading them to photobucket now to post them directly on here, but here is a link to the California Marine Sports facebook album on the 2015 A22. All picture are from today's dealer meeting in San Diego.

Biggest changes!

Deeper storage like the A24 the storage walls are carpet lined.
Gelcoat seat bases.
Obviously the tower and the surf Bimini
Open walkthrough to the bow

Should have some T23 pictures in a few mins

Working on getting them to photobucket and directly posting them but here is a link to an album with interior pictures of the T23 at the dealer meeting.

Any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to get them answered

The only thing uglier than the dash is the tower. Yikes.
Actually, when you add in the "wind shield" it makes three great reasons to steer clear.

The looks/lines of the Axis, whether it be the A or T series isn't for everyone BUT apparently a lot of people are liking them because they are probably the fastest growing wakeboat company out there in the 6 years they've existed. Surpassing other companies that have been around for decades and they will continue to gain more of a percentage of total sales for a while. I can find a couple models from every manufacturer that I'd gladly own but there's no denying Axis is doing something right.

Pretty sure by rack he means tower.

I personally love the Axis lines, wakes and performance of the T22. Wasn't exactly sold on the A series. However they have quickly gone from a budget boat to "another boat line". I don't even see the term budget boat in any production at the moment. being within 10k of a big 3 boat doesn't exactly scream budget. I like that rig tho. Looks sharp. Simple is sometimes better.

Im a big fan of the T23, the interior on the boat is nicer with the additional accent pieces on the upholstery. Im also a big fan of the 23 LSV wake/wave so im curious to see what the wake is like on the T23 Nice addition to the lineup if you ask me

Another new boat on the market and another group of haters and humpers.

I like it, these Axis boats just keep getting better and better.

Great looking boat and I'm a fan!! Only gripes are Axis needs to keep pricing in check and up their warranty

^^^^I think the last 2 posts hit the nail on the head. Axis has upped there game and keep getting nicer and better.

Issue then is the price keeps going up and up. Like some have said these are really no longer budget boats. I mean they aren't MC/Nautique pricing by any means but they are creeping up year by year. I still think with prices going up like they are at some point the market has to tank like the housing market did. Other genre's of boats have not seen the rapid price increases tow boats have, IMO at some point the price bubble has to pop.

This boat is a Game Changer!! Sorry, I had to.

Got a chance to ride in the boat and it's pretty sweet. Surf wake is no joke, too rough to really get a good idea of the wakeboard wake but it looked good. The 410hp motor will be enough for most owners but if you are going to really sac out the boat, I'd go 450hp or more. This is a big boat.
Ride was smooth and quiet. Typical Malibu handling, best in the biz. I was very impressed but "the truth is on the water".

Most of the other companies are probably worried about a brand cannibalization. If I were a manufacturer that made 10-20 boats a week, I wouldn't want to share my dealer network or line with another brand (of the same niche market) that could potentially take up the build spots and/or market share from my premier brand.

Malibu is now public, so it will be interesting to see how this unfolds over the next 6 years.

I'm digging this boat. I was able to spend some time on this boat on Tuesday and was blown away. Here is my take:

350 PCM Monsoon or a 450 PCM Monsoon. I would skip the 410 PCM Monsoon all together because of the gear ratio. 350 PCM Monsoon gets the 1:72:1 ratio, while the 410 PCM Monsoon gets the 1:48:1 gear ratio. The 350 PCM Monsoon will have a higher torque curve and will handle heavy weight just fine. Your altitude is the real question, but here in the Willamette Valley, the PCM 350 Monsoon will be more than plenty. The only benefit that the 410 PCM Monsoon has on the 350 PCM Monsoon is the top end speed.

350 PCM Monsoon (1:72:1) or 450 PCM Monsoon (1:72:1) for us.

SPECS:
23' 5". 102" Beam. #4200. 67 Gallon Gas Tank.

I'll give a wild guess of minimum high 60s (350 / basic trailer / very minimal options) all the way up to low 80s for a loaded boat with 450 / wetsounds / blinged trailer. <--- before sales tax.
Old     (boardjnky4)      Join Date: Dec 2011       11-06-2014, 6:33 AM Reply
The T22 is a 60-69k boat in most cases. The T23 will likely be a 70-79k boat (all depends on the options you choose). Probably would end up being a few thousand less than an A24 with the same options.

Impossible question to answer and be specific without knowing your options and also depends on how good you are at negotiating and how bad a dealer wants to make a sale. You're not going to get "real cost" until you yourself go into to your dealer and do some real negotiating.

Not impressed with this new boat. The dash looks so cheap.
The vinyl patterns on the sun deck are questionable. They remind me of something from the 90's.
Chillax- someone needs to be punched for naming the rear facing seats that.

Yo mama has the ugliest rack in the industry...

I dig it. I haven't seen one in person, but this looks like a totally rad boat for someone who is ready to buy their first new boat. I'm still down with the pickle-forks though. I don't know how I could go back.

How do people like those 2 speakers in the middle of the back bench on Axis and Malibu boats. I always thought that was kind of a weird place to put speakers and sometimes it looks really cheap. Do they sound good from there?
