That is nice. I just got a pair of wet sounds pro'80s in black, white pair of mb8s, 3 ppi amps, JLSub and alpine 6.5s for interior. No cool led rings or anything.

I love the integration of the LC1's. Very nicely done. How much airspace is in the sub box?

You got images of the sub boxes?

Tower is a Kicker 6500.2 six pack, powered by a PPI P600.2

Blue LED strips behind plexiglass rings with LED's to light up the cones of the mids.

MB quart headunit with Ipod and USB inputs, remote by driver and remote on transom. Wetsounds WS420SQ zone controller.
Two Infinity reverence 10" subs.

Polk DB651's for the cabin speakers. Cabins and sub are driven off a Kicker 700.5

I'm still in process and need to add the LED's to the subs, cabins, and cupholders...

I love the leds. Are they easy to install and how much does it cost. Let's say 4x6" cabins 8 cup holders and a pair of rev 10's?

All my LED work is custom and DIY. The thin strips for the speaker rings are ending up about $2.50 per speaker. I was able to get my plexiglass rings laser cut for about $7 to $8 each. (ebay vendor)

The LED's to light up the cones were about $2.50 each for the cabins and towers.

*Keep in mind that my prices are going to be less on things because for all the stuff mentioned above I'm having LED's and plexiglass done for only 6.5" speakers. Getting plexi cut for larger diameters would really up the price. it also makes the price go through the roof on plexi with increased thickness. I couldn't afford to do plexi on my subs because I was also looking to have the rings be spacers so I wanted pretty thick.

For the subs, I'll have about $5 each into the LED's around the outside and $4 each for LED's to light up their cones.

Cupholder LED's will be super cheap, just a couple bucks each for strips. For the cupholder and sub rings, I'll be using polyethylene tubing like a few on here have done before. (I used it for the cupholders on my last boat before I sold it).

As far as how easy... I'd say middle of the road. Finding the right combo of materials took a lot of research and some trial and error. I was working with 1/4" plexi, so drilling in that was a bit of a pain. I actually cracked one of my rings but was able to glue it back together and you can't really tell. Most LED strips are wider than the ones I found and have the LED's a lot father apart. I used a hot glue gun to attach the LED's to the inside of my rings.

Like I said, key is finding the right LED's for your application and then the rest of it is just mounting everything up and basic wiring.

Here's our stage 1:
4 skylon vector 8, 12g wire to the amp, Rockford fosgate T1000-4, and a new stinger 200a breaker switch. I also got an alpine type R 12" sub

Stage 2 will probably be another Rockford t1000-4 amp and new RF marine 6.5"

Do you mind sharing the eBay Vendor for the Rings as I would like them for my 6.5 cabins.

Thanks

I used this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-Acrylic-...item2c95e9b8a7

Then, contacted the vendor to get the inside of the circle laser cut as well.

If you just go with the cutout diameter of the speaker, it won't be enough to glue the LEDs to the inside. And at only 1/4" thick, most led strips are too wide for the plexi ring thickness.

My first batch of rings didn't have an inside diameter thick enough for LEDs on my kickers tower speakers, but worked okay on my Polk coaxials.

And I had to be super careful drilling the holes for the mounting screws.

And here's a Centurion that I did an install in 4 YEARS AGO. This boat left after it was completed and hasn't been back once with faulty equipment or faulty installation.

Did you sand the edges of the ring to hide the individual leds? And if you did what grit sand paper did you use? I like how yours look like it is a continuous light and not little dot's of color.

Most of those are the Wet Sounds LED's. The ones I do myself are normally frosted and then torched. I don't have the time it takes to make my own so most of the time I just use rings from WS.

These speaker pods look awesome!!!! Can you put up some closer pictures and more info on them? Can you make them without the boat and ship them?

Thanks!

check my facebook page for more pics - "Pro Installz Mobile & Marine". There's a photo album with build pics.

I won't build those without the boat, unless I get a local customer that comes in for some too. I'm in Paducah, KY.
