A freind of mine is building a new 2010 23 LSV malibu. delivery in June. She thinks she wants all black with green accents. Would you guys own a boat like that. I think it would look good, and i like the green, just not sure if i would wanna look at it every day. Opinions!? Good things and bad?

As long as the trailer is not green I think they look good.

I think it would look sharp. I actually think it would be more practical as a green boat with black accents but the black would be sharp if you're into that.
I've always been a firm believer in being able to spot your boat on the water.

Those are the colors of my current boat! Extreme green is the way to go. My next boat is going to be all black with the extreme green accent. Check out my profile pic....

anyone have a pic of that Malibu Wakesetter that was done with the Monster logos? that color scheme was SICK. although the Monster logos were a little too much. I think it was at one of the boat shows.

Black with the extreme green should look great. I also like white with extreme green. Here is a pic of the old Northwest Riders boat. One of my favorites.

I think it's a great color combo on a boat. I've had a crush on this RZ4 for a while...

I love black and green or a dark gray and green. I remember a SANTE that Byerly had years back and it was gray with a lime green accent and I have liked that color combo ever since.

I think Black and green would look great. On our lake their are already at least two malibu's with that color combo (Years 2006-2007 I believe) they are opposites of each other (Green and Black switched).

The Monster VLX from last year's boat show was black with green accents and it was sick. I had a pic of it but can't find it anywhere.

I really like this one. Not to much green but just enough to pop! And the charcoal looks sick!

Obviously, this isn't my boat. But I have always thought black with a lime green accent is sweet (escpecially the seat piping).

Here is another green Calabria. I actually considered buying this leftover because the price was super low (any wonder why it was leftover?). My kids took to calling this boat, "Lucky Charms."

Hi everyone I am the friend that is trying to make the decision on my new boat. I am so excited to get this boat I can’t stand it!!!!! I have built several color combinations of boats on Malibu.com. I like the extreme green, but I also really like the vapor blue. It’s such a hard decision?????? I know I am going to have the boat mostly black with either extreme green or vapor blue accents........So I need your help I see everyone’s opinion on the green so what do yall think about vapor blue??????

How long do you plan to keep the boat? I think all those boats above look sick!!! If you plan to keep the boat for a long time go for it. If you are not planning to keep it forever and want good resale, I would stick with very basic colors. I have to admit, all the boats above look amazing though.....
Old     (jennifere)      Join Date: Feb 2010       03-04-2010, 7:11 AM Reply
I plan on keeping the boat for probably at least 5 years. This one is gonna be my pride and joy!!!

I like the black and green together. i have to admit the white and green looks slick too. The black and green reminds me of the brostock boats. which i love! somebody post a pic of the malibu brostock boat!

Hey just wanted to say thanks for finding the pics of the monster boat. That boat is so sick!!!

I say when you are spending $70,000 on something whatever color you like is the perfect color for YOUR boat.I agree the black and green look great together.Don't believe the black is hotter crap, fiberglass boats sitting in the blazing hot summer sun get hot no matter what color they are.I owned an all white boat and now have a mostly black one and don't notice much difference in the heat comfort factor between the two.Now the upkeep, that's a different story. You have to completely dry the black or it will look terrible because of water spots.Any water missed will stick out like a sore thumb.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       03-05-2010, 7:23 AM Reply
uhhh I own a black boat and yes it is a lot hotter than white fiberglass. Maybe not if you live in Alaska, but regardless, black looks so amazing on a boat if you keep it up.
Old     (polarbill)      Join Date: Jun 2003       03-05-2010, 8:21 AM Reply
That Monster boat looks amazing. You could pretty much substitute any color in for the green and it would look awesome. Heck, you could even make the black white and pic any accent colors and it would look great.

I say go for the same exact gelcoat as that Monster boat.

Could you get VLX graphics on a 23 LSV, if you ordered from the factory? Would they do that?
Old     (vlx10rl)      Join Date: Dec 2009       03-05-2010, 11:12 AM Reply
That's what it looks like with the new tower. Matt from Minnesota Inboards was kind enough to send me the photo. I ordered the same color scheme from our local dealer. I'm not sure if you can get the same gel scheme on the LSV. Black and red were the other colors we considered. Calexan's boat looks awesome. I drool every time I see that photo.

There was a bunch of pics of it a couple years ago (from spring ride I think) detailing the system. Its pretty much all ARC Audio. You can see the Amps on the floor, I wanna say it has 6 or 7 Arc flatline subs, all those tower speakers are Arc too. Its a crazy ass set up.
