I grew up going to that part of the river. It has been years for me, but I still have family and friends that go there often and enjoy it. Watch out for sandbars is a great recommendation!

Some very shallow areas on that stretch of river. Not to say it couldn't be done with a weighted v-drive but a mistake will get costly. I'd tow up to Parker where the water is much deeper. If your schedule allows for riding on weekdays you'll have the place to yourself.

Here's a link for the damn release at Parker, which will affect the river depth around Blythe and further down. You'll need to learn how the release #s corresponds with water levels and on which days and just learn the river. The guy I bought my boat from launched around Blythe and cruised down the river from there for 10 years without any major problems.

Thanks everyone for the help, much appreciated. That's one thing I hate about rivers, to shallow.
