I have never said it was not being paid, one way or the other, but at some point you get to decide how your money is spent.

Can you explain how it's a decision? Your argument seems to be that, for instance, if we adopted a value added tax (VAT) which taxed intermediate steps in the manufacturing process in lieu of federal income tax, that you'd have the decision to not be a manufacturer, and thus never pay tax again? Even though the tax would be baked into the cost of goods?

When you are a renter you still pay tax. It's baked into the rent.

Oh totally.

Curious how the rest of the dem electorate is going to choose between these two old white guys (assuming warren and klobuchar and bloomberg are toast). I still think the playing field is strongly tilted in Bernie's favor at this point. Joe has name recognition and a platform that is more appealing to a broader segment of voters. But Bernie has organization, a strong donor base, and motivated supporters.

Will be curious to see who Pete and Steyer endorse in the coming days (if anyone).

Sounds like Pete and Joe were already talking - may have had something to do with the timing. Warren staying in helps Biden more than it hurts him right now is my sense - Klobuchar the opposite. Bloomberg is a wild card/spoiler (unless he magically explodes tomorrow).

Klobuchar out. Endorsing Biden. Crap these are the worst of the worst choices to be left with.

Peter Buttigieg drops out of US Democratic Presidential Race, mildly disappointing hundreds of voters who settled for him.

Ha! Yep. Whatever it takes. Lock her up! Glad you agree with me. Only this time she wonít have Obama pulling any strings or tipping the scales for her. Itís about to get real up in here for her.

This actually smells most like a preemptive strike to prevent that sneak attack I mentioned. If that’s what it is, it’s a smart political move. As awful as she is, she would do better than any of the other current challengers of the notorious Trump daddy.

It's ongoing litigation from 2014. Says so right in the article you linked. So if this is a preemptive strike to prevent a sneak attack, someone on the plaintiff's side has some pretty sweet time travel gear.

But I doubt that depos of people 8 years after the fact are going to result in any sort of new revelations, other than "I don't recall."

A cursory Google search reveals it was also written about by Politico, CNN and CNBC etc etc etc TODAY. Step off your soap box and look it up yourself.

LOL, according to Faux News it's just a "perjury trap". When it comes to lying, I bet she has far more control over her mouth than Trump. I can imagine that the GOP's greatest fear would be for Trump to testify under oath.

Quote:
"She can't plead the fifth because the statute of limitations to prosecute her for failure to safeguard state secrets has come and gone. She can't be prosecuted for that," he replied. "She could be prosecuted if she lies under oath in this deposition. She is represented in the deposition by lawyers form the Justice Department."

How's that Durham investigation going? What happened to Wombat, think he was the one so excited about it, gonna bring everyone down. Anyone that does not genuflect to trump gets investigated by Barr. What could possibly go wrong?
Except that as much as Barr has tried, he hasn't indicted a soul. All those trump wanted to lock up, they found nothing. Trump just lied and you believed. Trump on the other hand still surrounded by felons. Hmmmm.

Another weak attempt to change the subject to hide how stupid you feel for me showing you that you were pushing a (lie) false narrative. This is why no one respects you here. Your mouth goes taking off while your brain is stuck in park.

Now that thatís all proven and settled, I still think the timing of the judgeís one day old ruling is interesting.

Craziness. It will be fascinating to witness the MSMís efforts to breath life into that gaff factoryís campaign. I can just imagine the bloodbath that awaits him in a debate against DJT. It wonít even be a fair fight. Itíll look more like elder abuse.

Look Mark, joeís rambling is precisely why he fell way down my list. So I completely get the criticism. If I am Joes campaign manager, my pep talk to him this morning is short and sweet. ďYou only need to do two things to win. Donít die, and no gaffes.Ē Lol good luck with that!

On the flip side, POTUS has some doozies of his own. His base loves the crazy riffing but those who might consider voting against him... not so much.

So under normal circumstances I would agree that Joes propensity to gaffe might be his downfall. But in the current era? Meh, not so much.

I hear what you're saying. The thing is, when the debates happen, Biden will not be able to contain himself. Trump will get in his head and whip him into a froth that he won't be able to recover from. Biden has little self control over his emotions. Advantage Trump. I'm looking forward to seeing Corn Pop as Trump's invited guest at the first debate.

Joe has a "D" by his name. He will get all the votes from the base. What most likely is going to get him is the Bernie Bros stay home. Apparently the democrats have a socialist problem. Like 30 to 50% of the party socialist problem. If they do not give Bernie a seat or agenda going forward, he can take a lot of votes home with him. On the other hand, they give him a voice in the party and you can kiss the House and Senate goodbye for a long time potentially. Socialism talking points only work in the high immigration areas. Not so much in the rest of the country.

Also, little do they realize, they also have a globalist problem but that is the party as currently constructed and that is why they have lost the workers of America. Look for more environazi talk where they try and scare people into voting away their rights to the government and then the global community. Of course try and push to take the guns so people can not defend themselves against the first point.

That assumes anyoneís mind is changed by debates. They really donít matter. Hillary owned Trump (who had searing comebacks like ďIím not a puppet, youíre a puppet!Ē) in the debates and still lost.

People hear what they want to hear in the debates. I remember after the Biden / Palin VP debate hearing someone say that Palin had roasted Biden. Thatís when it became clear to me that the debates are meaningless.

Time to refinance the house I say. Need to get rid of the PMI and maybe cut my rate by 2%. Possibly save $700 a month on a 5 out of 30 year loan? Recoup refinancing cost within the year.

How many more years of interest will you have to pay? If you are saying you are already 5 years into a 30, try to do a 25 year term not 30. Nobody wants to start a marathon over after five miles, even if the shoes are more comfortable.

But you are right... def a good time to refi.

Depending on the rate 30 might actually be better than 25, assuming the market will continue to well outpace a 2.5-3% mortgage for the next few decades.

assuming that the difference is invested with perfect efficiency, and not spent on weed and xboxes, as Californians are apparently wont to do.

yeah by perfect efficiency I meant that the dif gets put on an automatic deduction right into an index fund (not spent on weed and xbox) and there aren't any attempts at market timing or stock picking / bitcoin / etc etc. All easy things to say and also easy things to slip into over time. especially the weed and xbox.

Guy says refi cost less than $3500. Rate around 3.5 to 3.6% for 30 year fixed. Remove PMI. I can recoup refi cost in 7 months. I won't have my house paid off before I retire anyway. Looking to leave in 6 to 12 years.

Because the market perceived that Bernie had a better chance to win against Trump than Biden, or because Biden wouldn't be so bad for the market if elected?

"Now comes the part where the party endorsements start flowing in earnest, and both men have already picked up significant support from Democratic leaders and rising stars. Former candidates Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg and Beto O’Rourke are backing Biden, while Sanders has the support of popular congressional representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar."
Ouch! That's gotta hurt, I got a republican friend up in Ohio that will be going to the primary in a few weeks and voting for Sanders, I guess he is afraid Biden will beat Trump or maybe FOX told all their viewers to vote for Sanders in the democratic primaries, they pretty much all think alike and believe everything the FOX says! Make no mistake, he will be voting for Trump in November.

Trump told pubes to go vote for Sanders in primaries at his last rally actually. But according to Rod's unimpeachable sources, Biden isn't Trump's rival and never was.

That was always a nonsensical talking point. Que Delta to chime in now that it doesn't make any difference if he is trumps rival or not.

Jill Biden has been his caretaker for some time. Its kinda sad, she really sounded like his mother. Ignoring the race, what is his real mental status. this stress could be the end for Joe. You can see the worry in her Eyes.

How does a vote on such a common sense bill like this get split down party lines? The lunacy on the left knows no bounds. You guys just can’t stop stepping on your own toes. You’re chronically on the wrong side of most arguments.

Do they really have open primaries? Sounds like wishful thinking.

Ironic you say that then vote democrat and support their communist/ globalist positions then historically link to leftist websites. Also, love you used to bring in Comedy Central takes a serious political discussion.

So are you going to comment on California trying to change the voter registration rules that a person can register on the day of an election for what ever party they choose and vote that day? You have issues with that?

That complete lunatic actually did what his democrat foes said they wanted to do for some time, however we know it was all talk from democrats. They goal of the democrat party is to share the wealth of the top 1%. Of course they believe America is the top 1% and say as much when they say they are children of the world all the time. Their positions and yearn for trade agreements that move wealth out of America play out the true behind it.
