Good morning WW, trying to find an affordable barefoot boom - pylon or tower mount. I've looked around online and it looks like the going price is $500. Any insight on where I could find one cheaper? Anyone have one to sell?

craigslist is typically your best bet, but they don't come up too often. Unless you've updated your boat - looks like you're running a DD from your profile, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a used pylon mount (V-drive booms, however, are harder to find). I believe the SN's of that time-frame had straight pylons, and as such you could use either a contour boom or straight boom. If you have a tapered pylon, you're stuck looking for a contoured boom. Sometimes folks will list them on their own, but you can also find them in boat for sale ads where they intend to let them go with the boat, but if you ask, they may sell it separate from the boat (I did this last year - picked one up for ~$100).

I'd shoot for a pylon-mounted boom over a tower boom. They're easier to set-up, and also easier to adjust for different skier heights.

Couple options

500 gets a brand new one delivered to your door.

try to spend under 350 for a used one. 200 to 250 is the norm...look for "newer" booms be sure its complete.

I have an ECI boom and just sold my Barefoot International boom that came with my ski boat (2nd boat). I sold the BI boom for $250 to a guy in Washington and I think we were both happy with the deal.

Check ski-it-again, they have a classified barefoot section.

We picked ours up off of CL as well for like $125 last summer. Great way to teach people how to get up on a wakeboard!
