We tested the boat on friday to prepare for the event and the boat had an issue with one of the surf system tabs and so it could only make a wake on the regular side, we decided to use another boat so they could get it fixed. It seemed to work well, its different, but that boat surfed. I think the big issue for I/Os will be just to catch up with wake shape, and all the finer points of wakesurfing and making a good wake. Regal seems to be willing to get into the mix and work out making a great wake with their boat.

They did do a firmware update to .5 mph increments. I told them they should think of .2.

Not to highjack the thread, but I had the opportunity to demo the Regal a few months ago and it surfed better than I expected. The wave was VERY long and super clean. The fatal flaw however is that the Zero Off speed control as programmed was only capable of changing speed in 1mph increments (recently updated to .5 mph); 10mph was too slow and 11mph was too fast. Hopefully something that can be fixed with a firmware update.
