where to get oil dipstick

I needed a new one for my Indmar MCX and went to the local GM dealership.

Get the longest one you can get and cut it to the length you need (measure up to the old one) then scribe your level marks on it. Thats if you can't find the stock replacement. This actually what I had to do.

i found some online but there too short, just wondering if mine is the correct size

You can get generic dipsticks from Summit and other places like that. Just need to mark full and low levels on the new dipstick. Generally around $50 or so. Either that or keep your existing tube and go to a junkyard and grab a dipstick that's the same or close to yours and mark it to where your levels are.

You can get the genuine Indmar dipstick from inboardonline.com . Just do a product search for part nymber 551455, the Indmar P/N. The cost for a dipstick is $12.00.
