I'm in the same boat as Jason. My wires are run through the foreword tube from the factory. speakers on one side of the boat and lights on the other. The only way I could make the new clamps work is to put a hole in the rear tube and one more hole in the boat leaving three empty holes in the tower and one in the boat. For me that is just not going to be an option.I could make the new clamps work if the wires can be removed and a Neutrik connector installed. Also I have one more concern with a reduced hang height will it move the speaker up farther thus covering some of the tube on the tower?? the reason I ask is because I have an over the tower bimini with brace brackets on the tower for the rear support arms.Man I sure hope I can make them work I sold my 485's and am starting to freak out thinking with the new changes they might not fit

Hey guys, another option for you with wires in the front tube would be to run the wires up top where the come out of the front into the rear leaving very little visable wires and run them inside the rear tube to where each clamp mounts.

Not an option on my tower. The front and rear tubes are solid and not open to the cross pieces or that is the route I would go.
Old     (skuhleman)      Join Date: Aug 2011       03-09-2012, 7:23 AM Reply
Yea you would have to drill 1 more hole to get the wires into the rear tubeye

what do you mean the front and rear tubes are solid?

I think he means the front and rear aren't open to the cross braces, what I am thinking is their wires are already dangling out the front tube, and on harolds there only looks to be a couple inches between the 2 tubes, so where the wires come out of the front, drill a hole into the rear and just go into the rear tube, that seems easier than moving all the wires to the rear tube and having a bunch of empty holes, but that's just my idea.

yes that was exactly what i was thinking too. Drill one hole off center of where the clamp will be in the side and one hole in the bottom where the clamp will be. Short jumper from the front tube to the rear tube. Your good to go. No need to pull new wires at all and would still be a clean install since the pipes are close together

Lake word is they were designed to be run on a bridged SYN 4 but like all WETSOUNDS will handle more power

I'd like to hear how wide (dimensions) they are. Already have a pair of REV10's and would like to set them up prior to shipment. 30-32inches across? What's a 485 in width?
Old     (h20king)      Join Date: Dec 2009       03-25-2012, 9:46 AM Reply
30 inches wide on the 485 so i would gues the new 410 will be a couple inches wider

Couldn't copy and paste from my phone but a Facebook post from Wet Sounds states 400 watts RMS / 800 watts peak. $1149 with fixed clamps and $1299 with swivel clamps. (each)

i am guessing the swivel clamp is only used for quick disconect. I cant see how you would swivel it?

The swivel clamps let you mount it on tower bars that are curved

So I am assuming the setup here is 2 Rev 410s and 2 syn2s bridged?

I would put in my order now but leaving for Singapore on Monday for 6 weeks or so.. I can wait till I am about to come home.

Man Tim your killing me.Now that I see the real power specs for the 410 I feel my single bridged KS 300.4 is just not going to be enough power.I'm sure it would sound great but would not come close to showing their true potential.Guess its time to spend some more cash and order a couple syn 2's or a couple KS 300.2's to power them.If i don't upgrade on the power end it will always be on the back of my mind that the speakers are capable of more. It is getting harder and harder to sell the wife on all my I wants.Seems each week you guys let something new slip out and my list keeps growing.LOL

So looking at the pics on WS site it looks as if the mounting boss for the Neutrik connector is gone. Is this true or did it just get photoshopped out for these pics? I was hoping to use that point to install a connector to wire them instead of going through the mount. Is the mounting boss goneTim?

How much longer till these ship??

The connector is gone on the new REV410 and the new mold has no provision for an external connector as all wiring will pass through the center of one collar. However, you can still add a Neutrik connector in the previous location if you have reason to.

Adding to what David just said... I talked with Justin at WS and the TC2-6 clamps will fit on the Rev410 if you would rather have the older clamps. I'm swapping to them and plan on adding the Neutrik connectors. The TC2-8 have a slightly wider mounting flange at the base and will not fit though so it has to be the TC2-6.

Better to order direct from WS or try and work through my local dealer. It's going to be a sizable order $$ wise so any small discount will help.

Planning on 2 REV410s and 2 Syn2.

Yeah I agree it was a sizable order $$$$$ wise so going through Wetsounds or a reputable dealer is definitely the way to go. I ordered through Earmark great service plus Dave is always available to answer install questions.I went with a set of 410's with the swivel clamps LED rings and the new opaque speaker grills.Super excited cant wait to get my hands on the goods and do the install.I'm sure it will be worth every penny

with most items it's cheaper to go though a dealer. The MFG never wants to undercut their distributors but here I think the support from WS direct might be better than my local dealer. So I was wondering if the dealer even had any room to negotiate on price?

Earmark was able to help me a little on the price. Not sure if it was on the speakers or the accessories but Dave and Odin were great to work with. Also Tim replied to all my e-mails quickly with answers to all my dumb questions.Other company's should pay attention to how Wetsounds treats their customers and supports their dealers.I have made purchases from Wetsounds direct as well as Earmark both are class acts with above and beyond customer service and both will go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy.

What is the benefit of the swivel clamps on your setup? Just ease of quick release?

Yeah mainly just for the quick release feature. We take a couple long trips each summer so its nice to remove the speakers to reduce the stress on the boat
