I’ve been kicking around the idea of buying a board for bigger guests that are just beginners. My dad is about 250lbs and has a hard time getting any slack in the rope. Some of that is because he is a beginner, some of that
Is because my wave is decent but not world class. Also part of it is I have him on a Liquid Force Fish. It’s a big stable board but it’s heavy and feels super slow. Wakesurf technology has to have made significant improvements in the 7 or so years since that board was introduced.

I want something durable and not high end cost as it’s just a boat board to share around. Is it possible to get a stable fast durable board? I was looking at the LF El Guapo, looked kinda fun. Almost every board we own is a liquid force so I know I’m missing some other amazing options out there.

I bought an Inland Surfer Tako for this same specific purpose. Works well.

Is it heavy? My LF fish is compression molded construction too and very heavy. I’m no expert but my gut feeling was that this makes my current boat board slow. I know that compression molded is durable for sure.

To be honest I haven't had it off the wall rack in a while so I cant recall. I assume is it kinda heavy because it it big and sturdy and there is only so much you can do with that type of scale and construction. It's not a pig though and I remember it being pretty quick and fun for such a boat. That is why I bought it; big tough and yet not a pig.
