have a 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl who want to start wakesurfing on their own. They have both been up on the board with me and are ready to give it a go this summer solo. I'd like to buy a board that works for both of them. Any recommendations on size and make/model? I don't need the top of the line for them since they will eventually grow out of it.

Phase 5 Scamp.
Slightly cheaper and similar is Victoria Debut Grom.

Good, cheap and perfect for your purpose.

Ours learned in the Gromcast at age 5 and 7 and now at 7 and 9 will be riding the Shim this summer.

I just picked up a Phase 5 Scamp for my 5 year old. Last year he was on a Ronix Super Sonic Space Odyssey but mostly knee/body surfed it.

We have a phase 5 scamp and cwb board that is red and orange, can’t remember the model. My daughter was 7 at the time and the scamp was a little big for her. She prefers the CWb. Saving the scamp for when she is a little older. Sorry don’t have a great pic of the cwb.

We went with the Scamp for our 4 and 6 years olds.
