Does anyone have experience surfing a 2014-16 MB 22' Tomcat? I have heard good things but do not have a dealer in my area. More worried about the surf wake then fit/finish, windshield, tower, etc. What do you guys think?

Comparing to Tige Z1 and Centurion. Thanks!

I just went from a 14 MB to a 09 Centurion Avy. I think I am going to stick with Centurion for a while due to the quality of the surf wave.

Most people think the MB has a killer wake... especially if you add weight and list it or add Go Surf Assist.

I personally have only been behind our F22 and a couple of Moombas and a Malibu.

Ours is way better than either Moomba by leaps and bounds.. and seem almost exactly like the Malibu in every way. I wouldn't call one better than the other.

Thanks James. What year is your F22?

I am looking at a 2016 w 2800 lbs ballast plus the plug n play on top of that (another 1600) with go surf assist. They are saying a 25 ft long wave with push. I can't get that right now... thats for sure.

Our is a 2014 so only 1800lb stock I think. It surfed good our first year with just adding a couple of 400lb bags and listing it, one in the rear locker and one in the side storage.

This year we added the GSA and larger bags in each locker and no longer have to list the boat. The pocket is longer with more push, but maybe not as tall.

I am very happy with my f22 it has a great surf wave. I am far from a pro but it has a nice long pocket ours it the 2015 with the gen 2 surf system. It seems to work good. I haven't seen the GSA in action but I heard it works well too

I have surfed an f23 tomcat with piggyback bags and bow sack. It also has retrofitted surf Gates. Definitely an epic wave.

I have been looking into how good you can get a mb wave as i have been going back in forth between axis and mb for my next boat. Love the fit and finish of an mb but I have yet to see one surf like an axis.

My regular wave is just as good on my 2015 with same set up. I love how easy it is to switch side for different riders. So far it has been a great boat.

Wakemakers sells the kits and then if you feel up to the challenge install it yourself. If not contact your local dealer and I'm sure the would give you a price on installation.
