Which quad?

Florida=sand and tough for two wheelers.

I have a dirt bike dilemma. Son 13 and son 11 are sharing an old (but good) XR-80. Son 11 wants a quad and will sell his kart to help fund it.
Son 13 is soon going to move up to a faster bike and doesn't want a quad.
So son 11 is skill-wise over the 80cc automatics but not quite ready for the 200cc shifters. He only weighs about 85 lbs.
Is there something in the middle I dont know about? Our budget precludes mulit thousand dollar race bikes and will be shopping CL for a deal. It has to be a big-four brand but I dont really care which one.

Im looking for a model type so as to make my search easier. ATV as a search term is a bit broad.
