Sub Selection Help - Tige RZR

I have a new RZR and trying to make a sub selection. Looking for SPL since we listen to mostly rap. Need at least some SQ as it is country the rest of the time. Current plan is a Wetsounds XS-XXXv2 in a aero port custom box tuned to 37Hz. For the price though, I'm thinking I could do better perhaps or even save some cash and get similar output.

My last boat had a 12" Type R with 400rms in a sealed box downfiring and I was happy with it, just want a little more SPL.

I already have the amp. Arc XDi 1000.1 which will do 1150rms at 1ohm with a DVC 2 ohm sub.

Other much cheaper options I was thinking were a RE Audio SXX12D2 or even an Alpine SWR-12D2 since I was so happy with the last one. Max box space under the drivers dash is up to 22" wide x 14" tall x 16" depth. Could get more depth if I cut into the ballast area.

bump... I know there are a million sub selection posts but just looking for current opinions.

I have a XS-XXX in my RZ2, and it keeps up with 2 pair of Rev10s on a SD2, but i want more bass..., but i like over kill some times.

Thanks for the reply. Sealed or ported? Ported I assume as that is what the RE's like I heard.

I had an RE SXX 12 in my RZ2 with 1400w rms going to it in a 2 cu ft ported box tuned to 32 hz and it pounded pretty good. I upgraded to a RE MX 12 with 2000w rms going to it in a slightly larger box tuned to 33 hz and it is quite a bit louder. I listen to rap and country as well and I love the way it sounds.
