Well looks like the delta will not be open till tuesday at noon

Tides should be more than New Years. I was at orwood this morning and it was already getting high today

Hey Scott, it's Jason. I was supposed to rent one of your campsites for spring ride, but 3 miles from camp our motorhome broke down, lost the tranny, so after about a 7 hr trip from the bay we ended up stayin in the hotel, but thanks again for holding my spot, sorry I couldnt use it. Just wanted to give you the scoop on what happened. Spring ride was awesome though, weather was great. Thanks again.

was out at Rivers end yesterday all ramps closed until tuesday possibly. Half of yaught club under water. It went down around 2 oclock but still really high this could be an interesting spring.

yacht club is the pennisula coming out of Rivers End the last 5 houses had 6 inches of water in their front rooms. Our house faired well water crested our sea wall and gave me about 4 inches of water on my lawn still 2 feet below my floors. center of island recieved about 10 inches had ducks swimming in our common area. it was pretty cool.

Things are getting pretty tight over here in Disco, my gang plank does up now rather than down and one of the main brackets that holds the dock onto the piling broke. Things are only projected to get worse, wait till the snow starts melting

the water level was about 3 feet higher over new years. and they didnt close the delta then. this is retarded.

Actually Jason, they did close the Delta New Years weekend and the week following. Sherman was out at Orwood that weekend camping, no one rode! Also keep in mind that at that time the ground wasn't as saturated as it is now, allowing boating on the Delta right now could ultimately result in a nightmare! If a levee were to break now in the main area we all ride, we would have much riding over the summer. For our benefit the weather has been fowl during the closure, lets me glad it's not 75 and sunny while this closure is in affect!

Lzy, top of the high is going to be after dark, but I should be able to snap something in the AM and post for you!

I sure hope it is open by noon tomorrow. We took the trek to Tulloch today just to get a ride in for the boys. The water was good until about 2:30, then the wind kicked up. The kids still got 2 rides each. That sure is a long haul from Disco when you are unsure of the water conditions an hour and 1/2 away.

Lzy, these were taken this morning just before the top of the high from my back deck into Marlin Bay. As you can see the gang plank is level, add two more feet to this!

You can see by the piling holding the dock on that things get pretty close around here!

These were taken at the bottom of the low tide, this is typically how the top of the high looks when the water isn't so high. You can definately see the difference in the pilings that hold the docks on.

Vic looked ridable when I came home and crossed the UP bridge at 5pm but everything else is blown. Not too much debris left in the water - I think it's all washed down to the bay! Should be good when they re-open!

I just checked the site this morning & it has been extended through Thursday @ noon in the Sacremento / San Joaquin Delta - basically the entire delta....

SACRAMENTO – The California Department of Boating and Waterways (DBW) has issued an order to extend the closure of recreational boating in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta waterways in San Joaquin County ONLY through noon Thursday, April 20.

The restricted area includes all waterways in San Joaquin County in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The department’s restriction pertains only to recreational boating. Any non-recreational boating activities are permitted.
