Super glad someone finally listened to the wake community to make replaceable straps for the velcro/hook-n-loop straps out there.

CWB: AA Boot and Vapor/Sage

Slingshot: Option Boot

not only are they replaceable, but I just learned Slingshot has different Colors available.

I suppose CWB does too in a sense that the Vapor is black and the Sage is white.

Thanks Slingshot and CWB

Now the question is, where can you actually buy the replacements? I called CWB and the sales guy didn't even know. Said he'd have to try and find a part # and price. So far no return call after 3 days.

Anyone know where you can actually buy replacement CWB straps?

Agreed with both comments...hopefully SOMEONE follows through with the idea of replacement straps. The next logical step would be to make the D-ring length adjustable so you can fine tune the binding for foot-types. Anyone who plays Ice Hockey knows how each skate model/brand is designed around a specific foot type (High, mid and low volume, skinny, med and wide feet, etc). In fact I wish wake manufacturers would address this with their multiple pro model designs and describe each boot with descriptions of the pro-model's foot type. I would think Rusty, Murray, Harley, Watson, etc. have different foot types...why not design the bindings around their foot types and let the consumer know so they can buy the binding that best fits their feet rather the one that fits their "board's graphic" or whatever non-functional lame marketing gimmick it is.

I.E. when you shop ice skates you generally pull the footbed out to check for sizing (length) and width. Then you put your foot in the skate (laceless) and compare the lace eyelets with your foot's profile for proper fit. Then you tighten them up and check for comfort.

might be able to rig up the slingshot ones to work with CWB boots... i find it strange that CWB would not have them available. in one of the CWB videos Andrew A talks about removing the center strap for more flex while at the cable and then replacing it when going back to behind-the-boat--- maybe this is what is meant by "replaceable."

I like Slingshots method a little bit better. they have D rings on either side of the boot. CWB has D rings on only one side. both styles attach with velcro. slingshot straps attach to themselves and CWB velcros to the boot. seems to me the attachment point would wear-out some day on the CWB boots... but then again, a rider is not going to be replacing straps as often as undoing/loosening their straps. the attachment wears out with slingshot too, but it is part of the strap and not the boot and therefore is renewed with each strap replacement.

An even better idea for attachment, IMO would be a strap that loops through itself (kinda like a zip-tie) around a D ring on one side of the boot. this kind of attachment point would never wear out like the velcro attachments now being used.

I had some issues with my sage bindings as well.. I just got them this spring and already the velcro is falling apart.. I told the business I purchased them from about it and the guy there said it would be a pain to replace the straps, and that since they were still under warranty CWB would just replace both binding YAY!! Thanks CWB!!
