So my trailer needs a new axle and reliable is telling the dealer it will take 5 to 6 weeks to get them one. Is this normal? I am screwing as we are having day after day of 80 + degree days.

Is it for an MC?

You are screwing? Not sure there is a better thing to do while your boat is down...... ha ha
Sorry to hear man. Hope they can expedite it. Think you can find an axle at a junk yard.

That sounds like a long wait. I had my front axle fail once on my Boatmate trailer in July 2009 and even at that busy time of year Boatmate had a new axle at my front door in 10 days. I had the rear axle torsion fail in the Spring of 2010 and had that axle in 6 days to my door. My trailer was one of the boatmate 2008 trailers that had bad axles from their supplier and Boatmate stated they would extend my warranty due to my troubles.

Boatmate had my replacement in the mail in ~7-10 days, including time to paint it.

May want to reach out to UFP directly or another local dealer of theirs like a trailer supply house. UFP makes most of the components such as tongues, axles, etc. If you have the dimensions and weight specs I'd bet they could help a lot quicker than 5-6 weeks.

Ok just talked to the dealer, and speaking of Boatmate (who the dealer buys their trailers from) it looks like Boatmate to the rescue as they may be able to fabricate a axle for my 09 MC trailer. Anyone else had a different (other than who MC used) axle put in their MC trailers?

Look locally. I had to get a new one a few years ago and found an axle shop in Minneapolis- did it in 4 days with a six pack of beer thrown in
