Thanks. It was done using a tripod and a 1.8 ND filter. I wish I had bought the .3 though. It's still not as slow as I was hoping for. On the bright side I don't have to remove it to focus most of the time. Exposure Time = 1.3" F Number = F22

Yeah, there are 6 of us, it definitely makes for some good times. We all went to college together so we are pretty much still living the dream (or in denial.) HAHA! As far as the lighting goes, the eyes never lie. They were all taken with a single ringlight in my living room. That's about it.

Nice job. Yeah, I saw the ring in the eyes...cool stuff. I liked the article in the Standerd about the "x" light. This is similar huh?

I did this one for the "Post Pictures of your Deck" thread ( http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/635803.html?1224850672) in the main forum. I'm posting it here because I think it might have some artistic value?

Haha! That's pretty cool Jakober! Did you put them in order too? As far as that last shot. Remote camera. Remote strobe. I had a pretty sweet rig going to get it out of the camera. Didn't get any pictures of it though.

So I pulled a bone head rookie move yesterday. We were heading home from an indoor surf session and I decided to stop and take some pics at one of my favorite spots. Before I took the pics I checked the usual settings: focus, metering mode, raw+jpg…everything was good so I shot away. The water was glass and the fall colors were great, I thought I was going to get some really sweet pictures. So we hop back in the car and my wife starts checking out the pictures from the water park and she mentions that she turned up the ISO to 1600 in order to freeze the action indoors. No biggy for the indoor stuff as I just wanted to get some pics of the surf session to see what I looked like. Doh! I forgot to check the ISO before I took the outdoor pics, I was pretty bummed. I got home loaded the pics on the computer and as I suspected, they were noisy as heck! I really liked the feeling of the pics and didn’t want to dump them just because of noise so I decided to play around with some different PP affects. Here are the results, what do you think?

jakober i dig these nature shots. the first one is a bit over exposed, but the rest of them with the fall colors and the grain and whatever post processing you did, makes them look like a painting. its neat. number two is my fav

Okay, the ones I really wanted to show are to big I guess. usually I can adjust the size down to 640x640 and they will work. But it looks like that isn't happening this time, now what?

High Rock lookout. and is just a little south of Ranier. It is a great little hike. You drive way up and then hike in the last mile and a half. My 4 year old made it no problem (well maybe a little whinning). The downside of sunset shots from the top is that it is a nice hike down in the dark. The top two pano's were done with my 16mm fish and stitched in CS3

Well since breaking my leg I haven't been shooting much, Just went wine tasting in Amador and shot some of my wife and my in laws for my sister in laws birthday. Getting drunk on crutches is not as fun as you might think! Nothing ground breaking here, it was just nice to have a camera in my hand again!

Thanks Randy. The first five shots were at Ocean beach and the last four were at Sutro baths. I missed the best light at the Sutro baths. I forgot my flashlight and had to bail while I could still see. I might go back next week for the full moon if there's no fog.
