Hey guys.
im new at this. I've been doing wake on the boat for some time now with friend's boards, and now im hitting the cable.
I want to buy a board already.

I probably going to be using 70% cable / 30% boat. I love the boat but is way easier the cable logistic wise.

NOW, i went online and I can see the boards and divided. if you are doing both, is it better to buy a cable and use it outside? or the other way around? is there an hybrid?

after that, not sure if I should try to find a better used board or a cheaper but new one.

what do you guys think is best?

thanks!!!

Depending on your skill level behind the boat, a Slingshot would be a great board for you. Reflex, Whip, Oli and Recoil would all be good crossover boards. Just remember that with the lack of bottom features on a slingshot it can be slightly more challenging behind the boat (for beginner to intermediate riders) than a more locked in board with more bottom features. If you have good edge technique, then you'll be in great shape.
