thats a good looking boat. Use the search function on here and there will be plenty of info. The guys seem to have this boat dialed for wakeboarding and they seem to all be doing it the same way with stock ballast only. I think they have one rear 3/4 full and the other 1/2 full, center full and bow half…. that is not right but is is something like that. As for surfing, I do not remember seeing anything.

Sweet ride - congrats ... Start with 1/3 in the left rear if you're by yourself and pulling someone. That will work at about 20mph.

The more you load it down the faster you will need to go. I drive at 20.5 - 21.0 with left rear at 1/2 and about a quarter on the right. I also try to offset the driver with about 125lbs. in the locker underneath the glove box. Front stays usually empty but that's a preference - you may want to play there a bit - weight in the front will make wake narrower but may again require more speed. Trim tab between 25 - 40 % lowered.

Surfing requires either rear ballast full and front between half to full. Right side will be better for surfing than left due top prop torque. Speed between 10 and 11 - gotta try what works best for you.

The saying less is more is very true with this boat and wakeboarding. Nick gave you the answer, but if you want a bigger wake just add more weight balanced. We seldom use more than about 1600 lbs (50% LR, 30% RR, 40% CT) and reduce it for human ballast. You will never need to go full ballast for wakeboarding. 50% or close to it in all tanks (remember the port torque adjustment) produces a very large and clean wake that most boarders can't use to maximum advantage. If you don't have the variable wake/trim tab, installing one will help dial in the wake.

Wake surfing is very good on the starboard side and not too shabby on the port side, but the wave is steeper. Weighting listed is full onside (an extra sac make it bigger, but not required) and 50% in the center. For the port side, the extra sac or people really helps to produce a better wave.

If you search out Nick's posts or mine, you will see we added surf tabs that work quite well. Since you have the slow ballast, it make switching sides a non-event for different surf set-ups. As well, the FAE is worth its weight in gold for noise and fume reduction. Unlike many of the haters that have never rode in one, I am sure you will grow to love it, snub-nose and all.

4500 lbs of ballast (500 in the LR locker) ready for a tabbed surf session (need more weight for tabbed surfing).
