why not get an approved vest that is super light and thin, then you don't have to worry?

my helium swat vests have been great, and when the po-po rolls up, I smile.

The floatiest comp vest i've seen was the old intensity's, Jet Pilot seems to have some floaty ones as well.

i curently have a SWAT vest that i bought about 3 years ago....It has to be the bulkiest heaviest vest on the market!!! Have they gotten that much better?

they have improved quite a bit, but with regards to the USCGA vests, they are the least bulky, lightests vests I have seen or tried on. Non-approved vests that "float" will probably be about the same bulkiness/weight.

Where I live, riders must wear an approved vest, so I got the best approved vest I could find

i just got a jet pilot skyhawk on close out and it is amazing. Everything you want in a comp vest as far as flexibility, comfort, thin, and it floats great

Quite a few people have commented to me that the Billabong Modernizm floats better than Jet-Pilot.

No comp vest floats great when you knock the air out of your lungs, buy a new JP Murray CGA or the Hyperlite side entry CGA, both nice and thin and will float you.

Got a Billabong Modernizm at May. Have to say its not the best but then again I basically sink in water. Did a water lifesaving course and the only guy who could team with me was a competitive swimmer!
