Don't know how many of you are fans of Acme Tops and Tunes on Facebook but they have something huge coming out of their shop real soon. 15,500 watts!!! 2088 amp hours 15-16 REV10's and 4-15's. I stole a couple pics (sorry Ben)

if a little is good, more must be better.

That's retarded.

So what waterway does this owner ride on?? Looks alittle overboard to me...my ears are better off if I lay down next to a nhra Dragster.

I think it looks awesome, but my wife thought otherwise. I'm surprised that tower can support that much weight.

I'm pretty sure they beefed up the hull around the tower. I know they are doing a bunch of other things to this boat to make it safe.

I agree way overkill.....but not my money!!!
Acme will put up pics when it gets finished I'm sure.

Going to be hard to beat that black Malibu they finished a few weeks back......

Oh yeah I'd take that black Malibu all day. Super clean install and still very big. This boat right here is just insane.

Truly a disgusting looking design. But as I have mentioned before that's what is great about "Merica". Freedom to choose. But good Lord that is ugly. I can picture the type of guy who would like that though.

I think there is room for a few more.

I heard the boat today and with the gains way down on the amps it was still crazy loud and clean!

I was impressed with how clear the wetsounds were up close!

I didn't get to hear the polished version because it is still getting wrapped up. But what I heard was legit!

Looks like Acme did it again........

I agree. Obviously were trying to be subtle with the design.

I would assume a show boat that will never hit the water or just would for events. Probably will take them down after a year and use the parts in customer installations. And they will get most of their money back.
Old     (hillbilly)      Join Date: Aug 2002       08-13-2012, 8:47 AM Reply
This is a customers boat.....Not a shop boat.
Probably a party barge more then wakeboat for sure.
Not my cup of tea....but the amount of work and level of work Acme is doing is crazy!!!!

Well, guess the rider will be able to hear the music now. Finally a boat that has enough volume to reach them...HAHAHAHA!

Acme does awesome super clean work even when they do big jobs. The black MXZ they did is unbelievable!

^^^Agreed^^^^ and that MXZ was overkill....lol

But I think the MXZ is my favorite yet!!

Here is a link to several pictures of the MXZ we've mentioned in this thread. Absolutely gorgeous!!! One of the best if not the best looking boats I've ever seen.

The MXZ was supposed to get a wrap also but the wrap guy had a problem.
Not sure if it ever got the wrap done?
I would leave it like that!!!

Is that an LED light bar on the fronf of the tower?
Old     (wakedaveup)      Join Date: May 2012       08-16-2012, 11:09 AM Reply
That is truly a great looking boat. My only issue and not just with Malibu but with all the boats is that with all the audio technology and cool things we put on boats these days, there has to be some way or some how to do sub floor batteries. I mean the storage space these guys lose is a lot. I would love to see someone do a custom audio system and possibly customize sub floor batteries and amps. Not saying they need to be completely sub floor and sealed but anyway other than opening a compartment and seeing 5 batteries and 5 amps. Love the boat looks so good and that LED bar in the front is awesome.

Yes thats a 52" LED light bar

If you got throught the pictures you will see that there are loads of LED's on this boat.

The Light bar looks to be a Rigid Industry LED assembly. They make some pretty cool light bars.

We've gone from insane to ludicrous without even hitting ridiculous.

Yet another reason why people look at us like tools.

Words do not describe how unneccassery that is, my boat sounds like you're wearing headphones at the end of the tow rope with "just"
Pro 60s and 80s on a single syn 2, that's just plain dumb.
Old     (RonixRider)      Join Date: Jul 2012       08-24-2012, 5:38 PM Reply
this is so stupid. way over kill. looks stupid to. i would rather hear my motor and just **** speakers and friends . way over kill

Its super dumb. I hope you guys with crap like that are happy when they ban ballast etc. You give the sport a bad name and look ludicrous. Its not cool, it's wasteful!

Ive seen those light bars in action on work trucks. They are unbelievably bright.

And people wonder why the wakeboard industry has a questionable reputation.

^^^ good point^^^ Hey do any of you remember the boat Neptunes did. It was a Blue Waksetter (with the Illiusion tower) with a ton of stuff on the tower. I was told that the tower had a major malfunction (broke) due to to much equipment on the tower. I was also told that the Deck where the tower mounted had a major malfunction as well. Because I didn't see it I cant comment on it any more but. I know that there people here on W/W that know exactley what Im talking about and have seen it. Hopefully they will chime and speak to this.

Yea its great to put a bunch of speakers on your tower but when you do this its a good Idea to beef up the supports and the tower in a way you don't have problems down the road.

Hit one good roller and I see that thing coming down if it hasn't been reinforced.

I may just be jealous because i could barely afford 1 pair of rev 10s and a syn 4, but those towers are rediculous. I wonder if the owners even own a wakeboard?!?
