I have stock dual batteries in my X2. I am going to put battery tenders on them but was wondering if I should disconnect the leads to the boat or is it OK to charge the batteries still connected. The perko style switch is switched off its just some of the things in the boat stay powered all the time.

Rich - I have the XPS 5/5 installed in my X2 from Bass Pro. I installed it in the rear port locker just past the rear seat. I leave it hooked up all the time, when I get home from boating, just plug it in, works great! Just make sure you are using a tender with automatic float and not a car charger. I leave the battery switch in the off position. My alarm control box is installed in the same location, there is a nice panel there to mount on. Also, just make sure it is not installed or sitting on carpet, they do get warm when charging!
