I am about 170lbs and 6'0. I had an old Absolute 135. Looking to get a new on. Would you recommend getting another 135 or step up to 141. What would be the positives and negatives about this? Thanks for your help!

might as well go up to the 41. The landings will be softer, and it really won't weigh much more. The downside is more swing weight, but unless you throw 7's and 9's it really won't bother you much at all.

I would try a new board....I am not a fan of the new absolute....I had the 2002 and 2003 before.
The absolute seems like sandpaper or stick to the water , it was a really strange feeling when I test rode one. However I rode it right after being on the lyman , so that may of had something to do with it.

Definitely go 141. I'm riding the Absolute again this year. First time since '05. I like it OK. I think I like the Transcend better, but it's a solid board with a lot of pop. If I have a big complaint with it, it's just that it's too sticky, even without any center fin.

That said... If you liked your old one, you'll probably like the new one. Not much has changed in the last 3 years.
