I think it's awesome that Brian shares his music for free. Brian spends all his extra on money on download's and records and mix's records purely for the enjoyment of seeing people rock it. I have had the hook up of getting music from Brian for years. Finding high quality mixes that don't have volume spikes or hick-up's is a hard. The latest mix is a LIVE mix so it's not perfict but it's better than 99% of the stuff out there. Big Thank You to Brian for sharing. I just down loaded your DIRTY PRETTY mix and Im gonna take it with me on a Bike ride. Im glad its 3 hrs LONG. GOT BASS Hell YEA BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM.

I think it really helps that your friends with eachother!

RE: who cares (liljohn)

click the little blue down arrow/hard drive icon on the left. A lot of people ask this question.

Right click the hard drive icon and "save target as" I always do it to the desktop then just drop and drag it into my iTunes and music file when I'm ready.

Do you have to check the box to the left of the hard drive icon as well. If I dont check it downloads in a few seconds then when I click on my desktop icon it has to locate the URL.

Too funny! I'm listening to the 1-2-09 dirty pretty mix right now.

I must say thanks for putting them up for everyone to download, you've got some really good mixes.

Harold is right, I love the DJ Sexmachine mixes and we've got a pretty close competition between the two of you for my fav...

Thanks Brian!

I sampled some of Brian's stuff the other day and it is pretty awesome. I was going to start a thread asking him it was ok to download it and play it at the lake. I didn't want to do this with out his permission but it seems like he is ok with it?

Michelob Ultra? You just get back from the gym or something?
Old     (brianbass)      Join Date: Mar 2008       03-09-2009, 12:35 PM Reply
THAT IS FUNNY. Scary, but now I'm wondering what a Michelob Ultra tastes like. MMM BEER Yup, you can listen and do what you want with any music of mine(Except play it at a bar or nightclub pretending to be a dj or have any kind of cover charge while my music is playing without my consent =) I play ALOT of different styles of music, so there is a little of something for everyone, but I am well aware that everyone will not like everything(That's why there is a DELETE button on your computer). If anyone was at last years Spring Ride @ Lake Tulloch, I was the DJ inside the bar that Sat night. GRANT is my promoter and PIMP hahahaaaaaa www.DJBrianBASS.com

is there any way to make the files smaller? I dont want to lose the quality but my Ipod is pretty much full and i can only get two of those tracks on there. An all classic rock remix would be really sweet, the new years 2009 had some really good classics!

Brian: I picked up a few of the other mixes last weekend. The New Years Eve mix is pretty good. Are any of the others similar to that or newer?

I just remember when it came out the commercial was hilarious marketing it to the fitness set. Pretty much all light beer is low carb, the calories come from the alcohol.

Got them on the IPOD

Thanks Brian
Old     (brianbass)      Join Date: Mar 2008       03-09-2009, 6:40 PM Reply
Yes, files can be made smaller. If you have any kind of a system in your boat/car, then 192kbps is the lowest you will want to go. I use 320mp3 for my mixes, but when it's a live mix I will make it 256mp3 since the quality isn't really there form bad connections, ground loop, not being able tio EQ properly since I am playing at a venue and not for a recording(even though I am recording). You can look online for a file converter (I use EZ CD EXTRACTOR). You know, iTunes might be able to covert your files for you too and you can choose the file quality. Anyone anyone? I am not the best iTunes user. My first iPod was given to me and before I met Grant I didn't have a single digital file.

downloaded the country one for my wife, she's gonna love it! Which other ones do you recommend that are more mash ups or that aren't too techno (I will admit, I didn't listen to the others yet or read the entire thread so if i'm being lazy, jsut let me know!)

OnlyInboards.com (wakereviews) , I would say the Dirty Pretty or Clique mixes(top right folders on my main mix page). I play alot of mashup, so never really record it, unless it's a live recording. THANKS 2 my new portable recorder, I just plug in when I play out at clubs and BOOM you have a 1 1/2 - 3 1/2 hr mix. I do have several mixes that I want to make(Alternative rock, easy listening, and some more breaks mixes). I have a new mix from Sabor this last Friday, I just need to find the time to listen to it first to make sure there is nothing wrong with the live recording that would damage someone system =) www.DJBrianBASS.com

Hate N Pain (hatepain) THANK YOU for always helping peeps out with trying to D/L. The key is, and this is for ALOT of websites, that if it is already an MP3 file or a MP3 link you are clicking on, then you must do the right click thing. DJ SEXMACHINE aka Brad tought me that one =)

Scott, he books gigs is my guess and gets his name out there all the more.

BB, no sweat man it's the least I can do for you keepin us in beats all summer long.

Any links to DJ SEXMACHINE mixes out there?

Brain Bass should answer Scott's question, but Brian doesn't do gigs for the money, he just likes to play music and hang out with his friends. He shares the music because he truly loves it, has a selfless mentality and big heart. I have probably received 20G of music from DJ Brian Bass over the years and it is awesome.

I haven't yet figured out how to pay him back, but I let him ride in boat all the time and he always comes over for the UFC fights. lol Take him for a pull the next time you see him, he likes to attempt back rolls although I don't think he has ever landed one. Should be named DJ NO FEAR

Here's the skinny on saving to computer to load into Itunes:

Right click on the HDD icon next to your favorite mix:
Upload

Click the "save link as" from the pop-up menu:
Upload

Save it to your desktop or wherever, just make sure it's saving in MP3 format:
Upload

Now just open up Itunes and click 'File -> 'Add file to library' - it will now be in your itunes library - so then just load the mix song into Ipod like any other music file from your Itunes.
Old     (hatepain)      Join Date: Aug 2006       03-21-2009, 3:34 PM Reply
You can also just drag and drop into iTunes if you want.

G let go of the hate. There are magnitudes more country fans than your UNTA UNTA UNTA music. This is simply an argument that you can't win.

It should also be known that I have successfully played country music on G's boat...although it wasn't for a very long period of time. It sounded awesome.

I have been playing several different tracks for friends and they are all hits. I played the country one for a friend that is die hard Texas country fan and she actually really liked what you did with some of the stuff that would normally be considered crap to true Texas Country music fans. We listened to a lot of your stuff on a recent road trip and came up with some awesome country stuff that we want to hear you mix! Do you consider requests? :-) PM me if you do LOL
