We recently purchased our first V-drive boat! 1996 Maxum 210SS. 21ft. 350 Mag Tournament Ski.
Maxum's only V-drive boat made in 96/97

What a great boat! Plenty of power and tons of room and storage. We purchased it from the original owner who kept amazing care of it and was always garaged, 300 hrs total for $9500!

We will be updated the gold strips and Maxum letters so its a little less 90's

Already purchased ballast bags, pump and Naticurl suck gate. The wave is clean and nice, but we need little more weight. Will be ordering custom Wakemaker bags for the rear lockers to bring the total ballast close to 2K. And then will be adding a tower by next season (we only have another month-ish as we are in N. Idaho and fall comes quick). Pretty much will have a really nice, lightly used boat for under 13K.

Any suggestions for future improvements or upgrade are appreciated. Keep in mind we are new to the wakesurf game.

Nice. My buddy has that exact boat. He is missing some of the gold letters so if you remove yours, would you be willing to pass them on to someone in need?

Probably keep the letters and Plasi-dip them a dark grey... but If I do remove them I;d be happy to pass them on.

Will you take some photos of the gas strut under the observer's seat. I want to see how it's mounted and maybe a part number on the strut

Very nice. It's great to see a boat that has been loved all of its life.

Might want to be careful beaching it on a rock shore though 😐

Yeah it makes me cringe. When shopping for used boat I cry when craigslist photos show nice inboards beached

Don't worry Saberworks and Beleza, the boat was not beached. The shore drops off very sharply and the boat was anchored off the rear. Believe me, I'm pretty anal about taking care of my stuff, plus I just bought it so its even worse right now. There's even a no shoe/sandal/flip flop policy.

Thanks for the concern though!

Max Stokes -

The pert number on the struts are SPD-5200-90A. The PO had unhooked them so I'm not exactly sure how they were mounted.

I have the Bayliner version of this boat and it puts out a very respectable surf wake with a bunch of weight and a homemade suck gate. I have done a bunch of projects on mine. Feel free to PM me if you want info on improvements I have made.
