I usually just watch these threads but never have anything that I feel is "worthwhile" to contribute. Here are few that I was experimenting with and thought were decent.

Inverted? Nice shot. The bouy or whatever it is on the right is a bit distracting but talk about some smooth water!

Nice shots everyone. Jakober...can you explain your 'arm' shot...specifically how you got that look. It is really a great shot.

Nice shots everyone, went down to the river to shoot a pair of river otters that have been hanging around, but they never showed, so this is all I got, pretty boring next to Riley's shots

All right guys, this is my first post to the photo posts. Any advice/opinions on this shot? I just got a "new to me" Nikon D200. Thanks,

Great shots everyone!

Loren,
For the arm shot I used a single off camera flash. I held the camera up by my shoulder for the angle. I converted it to B&W in photoshop and played around with the contrast till I got the look I was going for.

Jakober, very creative.

Walt are your bridges shots (past and present) shot from the same location? 1st shot in ones above is very cool.

Randy,
Those are all resent shots from the same trip. They are all from the Marin side of the bridge.

Great work Randy! That place is awesome, central OR is my new favorite place. Where do they ride down there? Saw tons of wake boats on the road.

Jakober, those pictures are sweet!

Nick, Prineville resevor is where we ride, Round Butte dam is good mid week or early morning on weekends, It's only about 20 minutes from Smith Rock.

Jakober, that last shot is crazy. Very nice.

Damn Rich, what a difference. I don't have any post processing software except Picasa and pretty limited in what I can do with that. Maybe I should sent all my images to you .

Good luck to Chris today, that rain out is going to make those heats today a dog fight.

Software can really work wonders on those kinds of shots. I didn't see Alex on the rider lists, is he nicked up right now?

There's that "S" word again! First thought I had was injury - glad it's not that!

He's looking at the big picture and it sounds like more fun then sitting around in the rain in wisconsin (or where ever they are) anyway.

do you guys see the weird "lens flares" or whatever they are? in pic 1, it's on the right hand side as well as the lower right hand corner. in pic 2, it's in the center. i have no idea what caused them, but they're kind of weird looking.

I was having some fun with some of the sunsets this past weekend. Felt refreshing. Also, we had a friend fall asleep during the day on the 4th. We stacked stuff on her lap and eventually threw a football at it. She didn't flinch one bit. haha!
