Atlanta Tour Stop

We're planning on making the Atlanta tour stop this weekend. I called the rec dept and they said there was no parking and we would have to take a shuttle from Downtown (Library, City Hall). For anyone familiar with this stop, where will be the best place to park and where will the Block Party be after the event? I wouldn't mind parking close to where the Party will be Saturday night. Any advice is appreciated. They also told me no coolers or dogs.

Thanks to all the great advice we were able to get great parking, take the dog and cooler and had a great time. The water was good and the riding was awsome.
