So I have a name picked out for my tiger woods yacht when the day comes. Just wondering what everyone thinks of naming a wakeboard boat.

And then taking it to the next level and having the name put on the back of your boat.

I think it is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Especially the ones that the owner thinks is clever, ie "Wet Dream", "Party Barge" or "Wake-tastic". LAME!!

But different strokes for different folks.

I think the original poster wanted to know if it is customary or traditional to name a towsports boat. It is not.
That doesn't mean people don't do it. If you decide to name it google "top ten boat names" and make sure not to pick one of them.

Wakeboard boats traditionally are not named. Unless of course u r ghey lol.
Unless the boat is a little aluminium or a 30 foot fishing boat or bigger, it does not need to be named.

What is all this homophobia????? I have no idea why anyone would think that a name on the back of your boat would indicate your orientation....well I suppose that depends on the name of course. "Off shore Drilling" might be some sort of clue.

Like most said, it is a personal choice, but if you are looking for a popularity barometer, I would guess that most people do not name their tow boats and I do not name mine, but my boat is pretty simple in many ways.

BTW - I like that tricks are for kids slogan.

when i was on catalina last month there were some guys on a boat that said "girls gone wild crew" with the mail box square stickers from wal mart or a hardware store on their boat. they did NOT have chicks on their boat! if you decide to put something on your boat, X STAR would be a safe bet.

That said I don't have a fitting name for my malibu.

One day I hope to have a boat big enough to be known as "the pursuit of happiness"

I think thats a cool enough name for a ship. and now its documented as my idea so don't steal it.

having the name on the back of my boat has been a easy way to describe mt boat. When I tell people my boats the red Nautique with the white stripe the don't seem to reconize it but when I say it the boat that say's Bling Bling on the back they are ""Oooo"" I know your boat!
