I recently bought a board and the binding came separate. Since this is my first board, I got to wondering how to make sure I put the boots on correctly-for my specific stance. Any info would be great

I see in your profile that you've got the Lotus and Sage bindings. I ride the '06 Lotus w/Torq hinge. Do you ride regular or goofy footed? If you ride with your right foot forward, you're goofy footed. Left foot forward, regular footed. And if you aren't sure which one you are you can try this. Go in your kitchen or any floor that you can slide on... run and then try to slide. Which foot did you notice in front? That will determine your stance. Next, normally you want to have the bindings slightly ducked out, shoulder width apart. It will have to be trial and error... Just put the bindings on the board and don't screw them all the way. (you can adjust/turn them in or out more depending on how they feel for you) Just keep on adjusting them until you feel comfortable. Let me know if you need anymore help and hopefully I made a bit of sense. Good luck and congrats on your new set up!!!

My knee doc told me the more duck footed the better.
If you jump up and look straight ahead, the way you land is alot like the way you want to set up your stance.

there was an article on wbm about this... it said that you should put your board in front of you, stand right behind it and take a good jump. See how your feet are when you land. how far apart from each other and how ducked. that is how you should set up your bindings. From then its trial and error... keep adjusting until you feel its most comfortable.
