The 2015 Moomba Mojo looks like a sweet option for value boats. Have a family member looking at one. Does anyone have any real world knowledge on rough water ride capability of this boat? It looks pretty flat in the back compared to an MB. Main concern for this person is ability to run their Wake Boat in Large waters like Lake Powell even in stormy conditions. I recommended the MB based on that but the new moomba was supposedly built after the Supra SC hull which is also nice in rough water but it still looks a little flat at the transom.

Also, anyone with real experience between the new Raptor 400 vs the Raptor 440? Is the 400 worth the $5,500 upgrade? It seems to be the exact same motor, with a difference ECM or tune?
Thanks in advance.

Prices of these boats seem to be getting out of hand! 115K-125K in my area for a new Mastercraft X20?

High freeboard, so it has a fairly dry ride. It seemed VERY rough in the chop to me, however, I am usually in a 23 footer. It is the shortest boat that I drive these days. The next shortest is a X25 (21' 6"), and it rides 10X as smooth, but it is a deep V, so that makes sense.

The only difference between the 400 and 440 is the ECM. Regardless of how the engine gets the extra power, only you know if you need the extra power and if its worth it for the $5500. It is noticeable.

MB will ride better in chop than Moomba and Supra as far as a smoother, less pounding ride due to it's sharper V

Mojo is 22 1/2ft not quite 23ft. Have your buddy drive both and go what fits him best. I have been in the Mojo and it's a great boat. Wake shape and size is very important to me and I have to say I was very impressed with the Mojo. My gut still tells me the MB will have a better rough water ride though and I wouldn't want to be caught on powell in any wake boat in a major storm. We had winds rip our house boat off shore a few years back because the storm was so strong. Pulled the anchors out and everything.

My apologies I just saw that on the website. Can't speak for the 23, only the previous model.
