so this morning we are packed and ready to come home from camping at Hensley lake. As the wife starts pulling the trailer to the dock to pick up the boat the front passenger tire is locked into place. After creating a flat spot we were able to get her attention to stop. E. Cable not pulled. couldnt figure it out so I loosened the manual brake adjuster on the back side of the drum. had to loosen it all the way. did a test and made it home. But I still would like to know why the HE__ it happened and has this happened to anybody else? Think I need to take it to Les Schwab to pull the drums maybe replace the brakes?

i had a caliper get very corroded and the brake would drag and get considerable warmer than the others. i just replace the caliper, rotor, and bearings on the wheel and it seems to be working fine now

I've had this problem with my Boatmate trailer and it was caused by incorrect wiring on the truck end. It would pull fine forward but as soon as you tried to back up, the brakes would lock. We were able to temp bypass it at the front of the trailer but the only way to fix it was to correct the wiring on this particular truck.
