For all of you intending to ride at the USC contest on Nov. 6th. Please arrive early - We have got tons of people slated to show up, and with the recent time change, we want to have room for everyone to ride in the new format.

Riding starts at 9o am -
Registration starts at 7:30 - 8:30
if you arrive after 8:30 chances are the tournament might be full. I would hate to turn anyone away, So PLEASE be early and make it easy on everyone

Its looking like its gonna be an epic turnout and a sick day on the lake.

Josh

What up Josh?

What are the fees to ride? I'm not sure if I'll be back from the Vegas in time, but if I can make it I'd like to ride. Although I haven't rode since the last Canyon comp. :-(

Hey really dumb but can someone give me directions from Irvine to elsinore where the comp is.
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       11-02-2005, 2:41 PM Reply
the "free" way.

405 or 5 to 55north to 91east to 15south. exit diamond drive, turn right. turn right, right at the baseball stadium. follow road around the back of stadium. elsinore channel will be on the right.

15 south - exit diamond and make a right
Continue on diamond past lakeshore.
After going over two giant dips, make a right at a 3 way intersection,(right before the baseball stadium)
At this point, you will be able to see the water.
Make a left hand turn at the end of the street, and the entrace to the channel will be on your right hand side.
Make a right onto the "dirt road" heading out to the channel.

the not-so-free faster way.

go east on jamboree. jamboree will turn into hwy261 (toll road). hwy261 will merge with hwy241 (toll road). hwy241 to 91east. the rest is same as above.

Competition is looking stiff, I'm not quite sure if I want to embarrass myself.
Old     (roberto)      Join Date: Aug 2004       11-02-2005, 4:40 PM Reply
Too bad it's head to head competition. I was hoping to medal just by being the oldest dude to put a board in the water. Any discount for USC LAW grads, Josh? If so my wifey might strap up for the competition. There is a women's heat as well, no?
Old     (kevin_bird)      Join Date: Dec 2002       11-02-2005, 4:45 PM Reply
How about the discount for the guy still in college. For some reason i think a USC law grad might make more $. just messing with you i read it and it made me laugh.

Old     (jrad)      Join Date: Mar 2004       11-02-2005, 9:00 PM Reply
or any podium, or is it just a chill ride for fun contest
Old     (trojanman)      Join Date: May 2002       11-02-2005, 10:13 PM Reply
There are going to be prizes for first place in differing divisions...

The divisions will hopefully be as follows --

College mens
College Womens

If you are of a college age, it is likely you will be placed in the college division.

Masters
Outlaw
Jr. Open
Juniors
and womens

We hope to fill as many divisions as riders come out to fill.

We are hoping to just spread the stoke, the more the marrier, and what we really want to do is get a ton of people out to the lake to have a kickin good time.
