Anyone gonna answer his question? Jeez guys. Which glide you trying Taylor? An Indy or Melon HS Glide is a different cut and pop than a Batwing(TS Indy Glide). There are a lot of variations so I would say pick one and ask for advice on it. Bottom line I would buy The Book or one of the other instructional videos, they lay it out rather well.

Make no mistake, they all take big balls, you have to commit with a capital C, and coming up short is not an option. You get wadded up pretty bad.

yeah looks like a hoochie and it's not a melan. our crew would call it a nosencholy, melan is between the feet.

Its a Hoochie.

I think that there needs to be some clarification here. Hoochie, Krypts, OHH's, 911s, tail Glides, Indy Glides, Etc. are all Raley based tricks. Batwings are Toeside Raley based, or Drift Based depending how they are done.

In my opinion the difference between a Glide and a drift is in the execution of the trick. A Glide is aggressive much like its cousin the Raley. A strong hard aggressive cut. A Drift, Like an Off axis Indy 180 is much more mellow than a Glide. A lot of rides will let a Grab drift back, take beeny g's methods, he drifts them back so they are a bit off axis but his head is still above his feet. Super Stylish and controlled.

+1 for andy's explanation...i've tried a couple of methods A LA benny G style and have subsequently gotten HAMMERED...i have too much line tension and just get pulled over the front..

theres a big difference between an indy glide off the kicker at cables and one behind the boat. Honestly you may be better off with a more simple hoochie, thats the easiest off the wake in my opinion. Dont go for a pure raley edge you'll never grab the board, you need to be more seated coming into the wake, as you come off the top of the wake keep the handle nice and tight and look at the part of the board your going to grab, think about bringing the board to your hand instead of reaching for it, i found that helped a lot. Also keep in mind you can and prob should start your first ones with a pretty short setup, u can do a hoochie with a tiny setup and you will be more controlled.

+1 on the "Nosencholy"... we call that a "Nelon". Melon IS between the bindings... way harder to get a good grab, but looks so good, unlike the aforementioned "Nelon" that does not look good at all.
