I have a 1999 21' Tige and am looking for a place to store it. Does anyone know of a good place in L.A., the San Fernando Valley, or Castaic that has a covered spot for boat parking? I've looked around and indoor parking seems to be ridiculously expensive around here (the place I called said $250 per month), but I'd like to find a place that at least offers a carport above the boat, to protect it from rain.

$250 sounds about average. Storage is limited and expensive in LA/Orange county

250 for indoor is good, i have a buddy that was paying 500 a month. just put a file cabinet in there with the bat and wrote it off as storage for his business. advantage of owning a business i guess

we store our boat at a place called Kennedy Boat and RV storage. Its a big lot but we keep ours in a 12ft tall dupont tent that does the same job and security is TIGHT had our boat there 10 years never a problem.

Thats an interesting idea, and a lot more economical. Where did you buy the tent at? Does the tent ever have problems in high winds? And, do you need to take it down\put it back up every time you take the boat out, or do you just leave it up all the time?

Does anyone know of an outdoor lot that has a carport-type roof available for boat storage?

We store our boat at an outdoor storage facility in the inland empire. Get a good cover and the rain shouldnt be an issue.

You might want to try Craigslist. Search for people who have garages, side yards, backyards, etc. available to put your boat. There might be people in decent areas who wlll let you put your boat there for around $100 a month.

Its their tent they set it up for you and steak it down so wind is never an issue. Its honestly perfect the only thing that i could complain about is their hours close a little earlier but everything else is flawless. if you tell him the stafford family told you to call he will hook it up. i know that a lot of people from around here want to get in there so there might be a waiting list but you can check it out for sure
