I am new to the Denver area and looking for a private lake to be on this summer within 30 minutes of Denver. I know that it is unlikely that I will be able to find one this late in the year, but any suggestions would be great.

There was a thread on here not 2 weeks ago about a guy offering the use of a private lake if you had a boat.

Derek, many people are tight lipped about lakes but to help you out, there are 5+ private lakes that I can think of off hand. Each has pros and cons so you'll have to check them out before committing. We were on 3 of these lakes last year, but aren't renewing because we are on lakes much closer to Denver. 1 is in Wellington, called Rocky Ridge. Call Mike Morengo 970-222-8552 for info. 1 is in Greeley, called Madison Lake. We were on that a lot last year and it's nearly always butter - but does have some cons as well. Call Greg or Amber 970-391-0002. Several more are in Greeley but I don't have Jim's number handy or with me in Florida right now. Hope that helps to get you started. If you need more numbers, hit me up privately after May 20. Steve

Madison's con is it's pretty small correct?
We might be getting into a private lake next year if we can get the current leasers booted off.I'll know more next January.
