Lake Berryessa 4/20/2009

Heading to Lake Berryessa to ride tomorrow. Just seeing if anyone else is gonna be up there. We are heading up around 10 am and riding all day. Talked to a friend and he said he rode Berryessa today and didnt use a wet suit. Said the water was pretty nice just a little choppy. Ill post pics when I get back. Weather says over 90 and 8mph winds. Looking good. Ill be in the boat I have on my profile around capell cove and steele park.

I was up on thursday, launched out of Steele park. Water was nice until about 1 pm or so, then started getting choppy. I trunked it, but it was a little cold. Have fun

Thanks I have been up at least once a week for the past month. Water has been perfect and no one is out in the middle of the week. Pretty much has been my boat and a handful of fishermen each day.

I have been up a lot lately working on the houseboat. My 210 is sitting on the lift...I'm waiting for the two geese who have been using it as a nursery to have their babies and move along. I can't wait as their has been some nice water.

what color is your 210 and where do you still have a dock at?

ok, I was at berryessa yesterday and the blistering hot was a great compliment to water temp. It was cold enough to facilitate a wetsuit top, but with that it was sooo comfortable.
any of you guys who ride at berryessa, drop me a line anytime. I'm always looking for someone new to ride with.
I live in Napa so it's really easy for me to get there.

I was out on sunday afternoon...it was perfect...spring and fall are the only time of year I can hit double ups near spanish flat at 1pm on a saturday and not get hit by ten boats at once! It was my first set in a month or two and i feel as though it was alost too fun haha...Im also always loking for more local folks to ride with. I have phat sacs and all my own stuff if you guys ever need a third...especially once summer comes, after work evening sets always rock!

Can't wait to hit the lake up. Just lookin for a pull on a boat other than my sick 86' wellcraft. Anyone ever need a third hit me up. i live in Napa so its a 20 min drive.

THe past two days the lake was just glass all day. Only a handful of boats and butter like the pic above in the middle of the lake.

To make the day even better e were lucky enough to watch Kevin Bird just put us all to shame. Want to thank him for coming out and riding. He let me try out the new CWB Transcend(sorry if it is mispelled) and I love the board. It was great on edge and had amazing pop. I am purchasing the board for sure.

how cold was it?! is it worth it to wear a spring suit

No not really. If the air temp is a little cold than yes. The two days we went up the air temp was in the mid 90's. We were swimming in the water just to cool off. So I would bring the spring suit if the weather isnt going to be that warm but on any warm day it is completely trunkable.
