Well, it is official I am not going to make it out tomorrow. I have something fierce fighting inside me....
Too bad I just picked up that wetsuit for just this occasion.

What is the MN law for registration numbers on the hull? I see boats with the numbers on both sides and only on one side...whats the deal?

Crappy, weather is gonna suck. Windy out of the north at 10-20 I am still planning of going and at the least to surf.

Don, 10-20 is nothing man, thats not bad at all! when its like 15-25+ thats when it sucks...should be a nice day out..not TOO warm but it shouldnt be bad. Sinko, im glad you're in...to avoid confusion, its still on, 4:30 Owasso...ill be there at 4 again to fill ballast and stuff if you wanna join then. The wind shouldn't be too bad on Owasso, since it's coming from the North/Northwest. There's a good amount of shelter on that side, along with deeper water.

I have seen boats bottom out on the north side, therfore I done go within 200 yards of shore. It scares me. I have seen a ski boat destroy tis glass and where the prop shaft soes through. 5 figures later, it was ready for the water again Luckily it wasnt mine.

Looks like I now have plenty of room. Mike is coming but he cat ride due to injury, my wife cant come now so i guess I am the only one of my crew that can ride. How many total does that give us that are riding now?

Don, Me, Chad, Mike, John T, and Erik if he is gonna ride. Then you riding. if worst comes to worst you can always dock your boat at your buddies house and jump for a set in mine. See you out there!

Looks like you guys will be huggin' the northwest corner! N winds 10-20...Not so great on Owasso. Unfortunatly I will not be able to make it! Sorry Don work calls

You guys still going? I was thinking about it until I saw the wind ripping across Calhoun today. I am not sure if I will but maybe.

You bet we're still going. A little wind never hurt anyone. The wind will be at 14mph by 4 o'clock and will drop down to 10mph or less as the evening goes on. That won't be too bad.

It's been a cold spring in Minnesota.

where do i launch for Owasso?? I am gonna head out there tomorrow afternoon

Moxilla, take 694 to Rice Street. Go south to the first lights(North Owasso Drive). Turn right and go about 100 yards to the launch on the left.

Look at a map on the MN DNR website first, because there are shallow spots and rocks you may hit if not aware of them.

Major kudos to Eder and Don for bringing out their boats last night. It was a bit windy early on, but we found good water. After 7 o'clock, the lake was super calm. Good times.

Don, don't forget to tell her about the sunpad. There's a SANTE in your future:-D

indeed. I told her about going to test it out but she wants it to be nicer befroe that so she can ride it too. It is a step in the right direction though

Owasso was pretty nice today, it was pure butter at about 4:30, water wasnt bad at all

I'm so jealous. I made it out to Owasso 20 or so times last year and the other 20 were on Bald Eagle. I love Owasso pretty clean and quiet most days during the week. I hope to get to meet some of you guys this summer but not sure when I'll be around and have some free time.

Don- that is a kickass picture i took ha! the ONLY one i was able to take without shaking cuz i was so cold and the only good one that came out before Erik's camera literally died on me and shut off! Profile material brother!!

This weekend looks to be crappy anyhow, but im lookin to get out next week again WITH GAS, so lets find a nice day again, get organized and do it all over again...im officialy addicted to surfing now so i have to give that a shot again, thanks for teaching me how guys, later!

I have to get into this weekly setup! Damn! THis makes me soo envious. Also, if you are into surfing you gotta try the LF Custom that I just picked up. I bet you would love that thing Eder.

We need to get a bunch more out there. It was a great time and that is an awesome angled pick of me, thanks for that Eder I always love the chase boat photos, they turn out so cool. We have willing boat drivers so the option is there for anyone wanting to come out. If we need more than 1 boat, we can accomodate it

It seems that the test drive has been put on hold for the SANTE. The wife insists she gets to ride it too and surf it so it has to be a bit warmer than it is now. I am not happy with it but it is a step in the right direction for us I think, just pushes it back that's all. As far as not talking to me if I keep this boat, I think the wife may think it is our best intrest for that to happen. You guys are a bad influence on me lol

Don, we're the good influence, not the bad.

The difference in wake size and overall comfort, between your current boat and the SANTE, will be like night and day. Just have your wife sit in it on the trailer, show her the sunpad, tell her that there will be no ballast bags in the way and she'll be convinced. First hand experience talking here.

Just take her out tomorrow and have her fill and empty all the sacs in the boat, then take her into the SAN and tell her to do the same thing by flipping a switch. Paying extra for convenience is totally worth it IMO

Hey all, don't forget that the Dare To Compare boat demo is this weekend. Either show up or think of me while you are riding and I am riding around with drunk people who insist on driving as fast as possible into every wave on the lake.

We already did that. Now I just need the on the water demo to wrap it up I will also be atht e demo day to test every 21 foot V drive out there just to be sure the SANTE is the one for me to be looking at.

Lookin at the weather, next weekend looks wonderful thus far, so im FOR SURE gonna get out, but lets talk about next week....Monday and Wednesday both look quite decent, anyone wanna get out either or both of those days? Lets get out like last week again, perhaps a couple more people, if interested! that was a blast!

Eder- Do you ever get up to any northern lakes?

Ethan you're in walker..ish right? I do get up to northern lakes but not too much. One of my friends has a small cabin about 30 mins north of walker, i forget the lake name exactly, but we dont do a lot of boarding there, its about 30 mins north of "Reeds". If i go boarding north of the metro area i'll be in Cross Lake, my friend has a cabin there, and he has an 06 Xstar so we do a lot of boardin on the white-fish chain of lakes, about 25 mins NE of Brainerd, that's as far north as i have made it brother.

Maybe If i ever get down to the cities I will hit you up if you need a extra.

Everyone -- Lets get one or two days this next week to go out! The only day i cant is thursday, besides that, im pretty much open since my finals are in the wee hours of the morning on tuesday and wednesday. Let me know, we can take out my boat, yours, or both again! This time, i WILL have gas! Tomorrow does look promising and itwould be a great day start the week off later

I dont think I can make tomorrow happen, tuesday looks like rain, and wed looks like it might work out. Not a 70 in sight I will see what happens closer to that time. I have Mikes boat at my house and I have some work to do on that one but it might come out for a run, not that anyone wants a hit behind that one though lol Anyone ridden a 78 ski tique before? I might go for one side sac in it but that is about its limit

Erik, im definately in for Wednesday. If need be, my boat can come out as well, i put gas in it so its ready to go, ha! Count me in for Wed, Owasso is fine.

I can't ride tomorrow, I get to drive to Fargo and back to work for 2 hours...yessssss....

I should be able to get home and to the Lake by 5:15 or so.

We will be out on Bald Eagle ton this weekend and weekend if any wants to get out. Sean Barrett and I should have our towable slider out too, looks like its going to be a blast!

Andy, if its alright, even if its my boat, i'm more than sure i can make it out this weekend to bald eagle or whatevs, i just wanna ride man! Everyday if i can, sometimes, its hard finding people though, if it was up to me, i would ride monday through sunday!!

Sinko, no prob brother, im gonna be riding friday and saturday too, let me know if you can join my man!

I need to get the feeling of the water back.

I am in for tomorrow, just need to know the time at Owasso. The earilier the better for me. Kinda have some plans for early evening, but it just might be worth skipping if there is water time.
Also, Wondering what you guys are using these days for wetsuits. Anybody rocking the 3/2's yet?

i'm already trunking it with a heater top. water temps are up around 62 now.

JB - 5:15 tomorrow. I'll be rocking the 3/2 full, possibly the shorty tomorrow. I just installed a hot shower, so hopefully that will make it more bearable, although if lake temps are 62, that's pretty good.

Erik, i know you are counting one me to go out on your boat (at least i hope so ) and as of right now, im going out. I might have a few (3 or 4) of my friends interested in coming out with me tomorrow, so if that is the case, ill bring out my boat as well, and meet you out there, is that cool (i dont want a bunch of my friends jumpin in on your boat, besides, it will be more cramped anyhow)! Then we can get some chase boat pictures and such as well man.

So, with that said, _JB, i MIGHT be going out earlier than 5:15, pending on my friends, so you are more than welcome to hop in on my boat if that is the case (bring your surf board )

I will be out with Mike again. We got his boat and that is coming with me tomorrow. We got some work to do on it and I have to make sure all the pieces are there before we tow it back the 225 miles north and drop it in his lake again. We will be doing some on again off again troubleshooting so we will be out there and social but probably not riding hardcore for the majority of the time. I will be out there probably around 5 or so.

I know you guys are heading out tonight, but would there be any interest in Friday afternoon as well? Bryan Madson and I are going to try to get out on Medicine with his VLX sometime after 3. We never seem to do that wake justice, so if anyone wants to come and show us what do to with it, you're more than welcome.

Brian, man, the stock VLX wake is one of the best stock wakes out there my man! Email, text or call me if you are gonna go out on Friday and i would love to join, your guy's boat or mine, doesn't matter to me!

We had another great night on Owasso. The water was calm and the wakes were big.

That is, until it was found out there was water in the bilge Then the wakes went pretty mellow. lol How long were you guys out chad?

I figured out it was the return hose from the heater that had come loose as a result of my shower install. We bilged it, temporarily patched it up,and everything was back to normal, so we did our surfing and I pulled away from the launch just after 9.

Anyone heading out to the lake tomorrow? Looks like i have no one to go with as of right now and unfortunately i cant drive myself! Ha, if anyone is going out tomorrow and wants/needs a third, let me know please! I dont want to waste such a beautiful day by sitting around doing nothing! My boat or yours!

Medicine lake was butter last night! Was fine with just a heater shirt and trunks on.

Man I got more boat troubles, any one going out any where in the north suburbs today hit me up! I am hunting for a pull!

Eder, we are going to be meeting out at medicine right around 3 or 330, my cell is 218.371.1563. Anyone else is more than welcome, I think we have four of us so far, and I know the Bu can fit more than that.

Can't do that - what boat were you in...the red and white natique? I was in the Black and White XStar.
