Saw this on our local forum in Portland, Or that someone's trailer was stolen. I am sure they will take it out of state or might remove the wheels and part them out.
Keep an eye out for it. I believe it is an 09' Extreme from the look of the boat. It has 20" wheels on it.
Here is a pic and a link to the thread if you have any info......

Sorry to hear that man, I had my Mastercraft trailer stolen from Sauvies Island last year so I feel your pain. Did you have insurance coverage on it?

It is not mine. Just a guy that posts on pdxWAKE. Not sure if he had coverage or what. I assume he did. Would be a lot of fun to use a good resource like Wakeworld to track the punks down.

Ok, this has me nervous. I have an Extreme trailer (mine's blue lol) and I never lock it up at the ramp! Should I start putting a hitchlock on it? If so, is there one you guys would recommend?

A good hitch lock costs about 30 bucks. I am not one to worry about things like this usually but I figure that if i came back once i would be at least 30 bucks worth of pissed off.

Yeah you should be nervous! I lock everything in sight, even remove the guide pole covers 'cause the suckers steal those too!

What a sick boat! Is that a VLX or VTX? We have a VLX, but mine is straight white on white

What kind of lock do can you use to keep the trailer on the vehicle while out on the water?

Thanks.

This is what I use for the hitch, and then I also lock the trailer with a combo lock.

Depends on your trailer. I have one like Justin posted, but it is longer and skinnier so it will fit in a boatmate tongue. I would call your trailer manufacturer and see what they recommend or if they sell them.

That sucks I had my truck broke into last weekend at Chinook landing they did $1600 worth of damage getting in and all they got was a pair of arnette sunglasses out of the console. If trailers are disappearing now I better get a tongue lock and a hitch lock

All you would need to steal that trailer is the right set of wrenches and you could take the ball off in 20 seconds.

If they want it they will get it. Thats why I have insurance. Locks are to keep honest people honest. I bet they will junk the trailer and sell or keep the wheels.
"Look at the mutha F*^k'n wheels" is what they said as they rolled down the ramp area. I will stick with my black ranger wheels. They 14's but I keep'em clean.

No way. Have you ever tried to remove a ball that had a lock washer? I have, I wound up cutting it off with an abrasive chop saw. Impact wrench wouldn't do it either. It would be easiest and quickest to use a cutting torch.

^^Mine has a lock washer and I can get it off in about 3 minutes. I have one off those wrenches they sell at Northern Tool/Wal-Mart for the ball. It's about two foot long.
