Hey guys- may be upgrading my 1999 Sanger v210 in a year or 2. I would prefer 2007-2008 and up. My budget is around 37k. How much could I get for my current 210? Right now, I'm looking at Sanger v215s and d215s. Can you guys recommend a good boat at about 37k that is surf able and good for wakeboarding too. Thanks Trever

Might be a little early for "what's my boat worth?"

If surfing is important to you, don't shop for direct drives.

For 37k, you should easily be able to find a 2008-2010 Sanger v215 and that is the only boat I would recommend for surfing unless you find a v230. I would think 15k +/- 2500 based on condition, upgrades and time of sale.

I'm not sure why you would consider a D215 if you're looking for wakeboard and surfing. The V215 or as mentioned the V230 would be what to look for. 37k gets you a nicely set up V215. As for the sale of your boat, its tough to predict in two years. Condition, hours, location, time of the year are all big variables. I've seen V210's of that vintage sell for as low as 10k is crappy condition, high hours and missing a tower and then I've seen them selling for 22-23k in immaculate condition loaded with wetsounds. You haven't given enough information on your boat to help on pricing.

v230's are in your range. paid close to that for mine a few years ago.

I've used my D215 for years surfing. The hull is identical to the V215 and it throws a very clean surf wake when weighted. You need to list the boat significantly. I've not tried any kind of gate on it. I use the stock centre sac, a locker sack in the rear ski locker, 400# on the floor of the rear ockpit and three 150# brick sacs that I shift with people to get the list (1 brick on a bow seat). It could use more weight for a bigger wake. I have the Bennett hydraulic wake tab from Sanger which helps a lot. If you get one with a fixed tab you can cut it off for better surfing.
With that layout and an FAE you can talk to the rider from the back of the boat. My family love the separate seating ares. The direct drive just means you weight it differently than the V-drive but you can certainly put as much weight in the back as any engine

I might be selling my 06 V230. Black scorpion, FAE, Perfect Pass, wakeboard and surf racks, tower speakers, 2 amps, sub, 2 batteries (isolator), 200 hours, all fluids and full tune up / filters 10 hours ago. Stored indoors. Factory tank swapped for #1100 port side. Surf boards, wakeboards, and accessories. Kids off to college - might change to different toys. If interested - I'll get picks. Way under your price.

While I get that you CAN surf behind the D215, I have no idea why anyone would purchase one with the intent of surfing being a primary role. Less storage space, no built in rear ballast (only has center front bag). and the need to manually go fill bags and that's still just offsetting the weight of the motor. You don't need a FAE and direct drive to talk to the surfer either. I have a V215 with no FAE and we have conversations with surfers just fine. The Sangers I have found to be very quite interiors compared to other boats I've been in. Not trying to knock the D215, they are cool boats if you had a primary function for waterskiing. However; if wakeboarding and surfing are what you are after the V215 is a no brainer.

$32,500. It's really in outstanding shape. Would include a couple surfboards, wakeboards, 3-person tube, have a boat cover, etc.

It also has the hydraulic Bennett trim tab, Wake Series.

I can get some pics this weekend if you're interested - just need to pull it out of the garage. Sides of hull are black with white cap. Black bimini.

Cheese, where are you located? If my buddy can avoid getting sucked into the wakecraft rabbit hole, your boat sounds like it'd be a great one for him.

Nice rig steak. you add the FAE? if so, how long ago. curious about the bracing on it between the platform arms. dont' remember seeing it setup like that when I looked on FAE's site. I also raised my platform about 3" so not sure I could use a similar setup.

sry, not trying to jack your thread

Yes - I added the FAE last year. Those brackets/braces came from FAE. It was the "quick release" option so I could take the swim platform off if needed (which I've not done).
