So here in lubbock where i live its ALWAYS windy but this year has been worse in recent memory. Not long ago when building a new over pass in town they put sculptures of the wind god up and their was an uproar in town. Until....
" a band of Vandals For Christ, the good people of Lubbock, Texas have avoided a deadly rain of fire and brimstone. The target of the vandal's vengeance, a graven image of a Wind God, had been erected on the freeway earlier this month. By late last Thursday night or early Friday morning, the idol crumbled under the blows of Christ's own sledgehammer."

since the destruction of the wind god sculptures Lubbock's wakeboard community has seen nothing but an increase in windy choppy water conditions and so i have created a new image to appease the wind god (even though it represents his death.)

no they were outraged that the city put up these pagan sculptures around the city so they used sledge hammers to bust them up.

I second that Tommy!

Although IMO, a 'nice day' doesn't always mean warm temps, sun, or clear skies - just zero wind!

Out west the wind hasn't died much in two years. It's been brutal lately. It used to be that April/May was awesome. June was windy, then July-October were awesome. The past few years it's been raining/snowing still in April/May, then windy as hell from June-November. It's been weird for sure. It's a battle to get out without wind.

It's been pretty windy down in Austin also. Makes us go pick some spots less traveled and protected...
