I am a new member to this site, follower for a long time. But I had to jump on this thread. I get the Ronix monthly newsletter, usually if something catches my eye I will take a glance, but I overlook most newsletters. Look what at what caught my eye this month.... The Ronix icon glitches and switches to the Volcom Stone. Ummmm WHAT?! There is a countdown at the bottom. Anyone know anything on this? This could be huge for the wake industry to have a huge collaboration like this, bring more eyes in on us and new people following the industry. Excited to see what this becomes.

SICK!!!! all of these new posts have got me amped!! 2020 has blown, ready for some good news and onto 2021.

Volcom and Ronix? If they do indeed collaborate with a life jacket, wetsuit, clothing, I'm buying it no doubt!

Volcom getting into Wakeboarding would be sick!

Seems like Yannik Paton is getting a pro model next season.

I'm seeing some 2021 Ronix gear popping up on buywake. Not the full line or anything yet though.

you do know some boards are built to flex, right?

For park riding that kind of flex makes total sense imo...
Btw energy never gets lost but transformed

if you board flexs,,,your p u s h i n g water,,,adding rocker 7& losing energy,,, i can ride my board by holding the handle with just 1 finger ,,,no drag and not pushing water...

Watch the video of me riding watch the whip & watch my board ,doesn't even move ,,,lick a red hot knife though butter...

Not really... If a board is soft your flattening the rocker. Flat Rocker is more speed/less drag. More Rocker means more drag/ water pushing...
I experience this on almost all the soft boards i´ve ridden so far. I agree that a soft board doesnt make a lot of sense riding boat... but in a cable park it has so much benefits. Its just a different style of riding...

That is strange by Ronix. I wonder if the downturn with COVID forced them to make some tough decisions to the product line

That’s probably the case. I also heard that Slingshot is waiting a bit longer than usual with the new boards because shops aren’t selling as much as usual this season. At my local cable park shop almost no new boards were sold this season.

I see their site says "sneak peak" maybe they're just releasing a few boards and the rest of the line comes out in September.

If I'm not mistaken, the screengrab from Alliance Wake Featured page shows Megen Ethel on a board that does not seem to be her 2020 pro model...

So Just getting back into riding regularly and have been on the classic Greg Nelson designed Tribute for over 10 years but wanting to get on something lighter that won't break with my 215lbs coming down on it in the flats. Anyone have suggestions about a similar shape?

I believe it is a continuous rocker line where the edges change like a 3 stage but I need something with speed that will still give the same predictable pop.

Several friends suggested the Ronix One or the Murray but have not tried any yet.

Continuous and 3 stage edge variation? Sounds like the Ronix Supreme!
