So I've decided to pull the trigger on an mxz and picking a color scheme is driving me insane. I like the look of a charcoal boat and was thinking some Malibu green (open to suggestions). I'm having trouble with the hull. I've heard the charcoal or colored hull can get jacked up pretty quick from towing etc. I tow a fair amount but never beach my boat and it sits on a hoist. I am open to any suggestions. I have always had white boats so i'm looking for something a little different. Options 1 and 2 have a little black and its just touch to picture how its going to look in real life. Hit me with any suggestions! Adding a pic of charcoal and Malibu green boat I found on line and for some reason the white hull throws me off(maybe its just the angle? All help is appreciated!

Looks good. I would go with charcoal hull or go white with less charcoal on side.

I get what you mean with a charcoal bottom but it kinda looks funny only having the bottom piece white IMO. I like the all charcoal. My local dealer has a new VLX in similar colors. http://www.performancewatersports.co...l.aspx?bID=404 If you do the top bow part white then the bottom white would match better.

Are you just looking for reasons to post pictures of your X-star in every thread? Give it a rest

Dude, guys asked specific color questions...boats almost identical to mine & i just went through exact same thing... offered help and opinion. Maybe one day when you are writing your own six figure check for a boat you'll understand. Don't like it, then don't read wake boarding forums about people buying new boats then jack wagon!
Happy bday by the way...

I'm flattered that you looked at my profile. Anyhow, if the color scheme being almost the same as your boat (which it's not even close) is your excuse for posting in this thread, then what's your excuse for the last couple of threads about other brands that got spammed with pictures of your X-star? For the record, I like your boat quite a bit, but littering every thread with pics of it seems to be feeding your ego or something. That's all I'll say though, I don't want to derail this thread any further.

I think the charcoal hull looks awesome. I really like your second one. I saw one of the nicest looking Malibu's sitting on a trailer and it was just like what you have in #2, but had yellow instead of green. It was Charcoal with black and yellow accents. It had a two tone boatmate trailer with black wheels. I would have never thought I would like that combo, but it was one of the memorable boats I have seen that list is short....

I think if you swapped the white on those boats for black they would look really good.

I'm with Chase. If I was ordering a boat, I'd go with a colored hull. Doesn't show the waterline as badly. My boat sits on a lift, and I still get some hull discoloring.

The lake I'm on is pretty dirty/murky. After 1 day on the water I the whole white bottom is discolored. It sucks having to clean the whole bottom after every time out.

Another vote for the dark hull, third would be my choice with the charcoal hull as well.

We're on our 3rd MXZ.
In my opinion, white does not look as nice on the bow. For some reason it just looks bland an unfinished. Just my taste though.

I have a black hull and was pushed to not go with it since it will show scratches faster. Personal experience it does have minor scratches from the trailer bunks but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm like you and my boat don't touch the shore so go with the colored hull, you will like it.
I like the look of having white on the front of the bow. I think its just the angle but I think it breaks up the great quite nicely. What about going darker on the hull?

If your boat is always on a lift, in nasty water, or are always in the water then colored hull. If you trailer it white hull. Colored hulls show trailering scratches sooo badly

I like DFTRs the best as well. Had a black hull on an MB and think that a colored hull always looks better.

I think if you can justify spending the extra money for a colored hull then go for it! Personally I would stick to charcoal.

I know it's an x star but this color combo is absolutely beautiful. I'd put black instead of white on the top deck..

The other thing l like about this boat is that it's not a MXZ. The MXZ has the aesthetics of peanut M&M with the chocolate sucked off of it.

I think the option of a white tower is worth a look with the colors you suggested. To cap it off get the windshield tinted and you're in business...
