So I just ordered a new black Ram with the Cummins to replace pretty much the same truck as I already have. I currently have chrome wheels on the old truck and I'm thinking I might want the new truck's wheels to be partly black. I'm looking at the Fuel d260 mavericks. Just not sure if the whole black wheel thing is played out or just a fad that's about to die.I drove my old truck for ten years and 205K+ miles so I don't want to be replacing wheels in five years because they're dated. Also, going with blackish wheels means I gotta change the trailer wheels too right? I custom ordered the current trailer wheels from Centerline when I first got the boat so replacing them is purely cosmetic and a tad frivolous. The other problem I have is not being able to find trailer wheels that are a close match to the Mavericks. Crap! Advice?

I've never been a huge fan of the black wheels in general, however, lately the wheel manufacturers have come out with the black/milled accent wheels and those seem to strike a balance with me. I'm about to order the Fuel Boost wheels with the milled accents. Hopefully I won't look at them a year from now and get the same feeling I get when I see a set of Rockstars.

I have a set of MKW's...

The chrome is shot and I am planning on powder coating them Silver to match my truck with black center caps.

Just another option.

^^^ Those are the exact same rims I've had for the last ten years! I still like them and regularly get compliments but I'm ready to try something new. Now I'm thinkin Fuel Hostages all chrome. I won't have to change my trailer wheels then. I also dont think any paint/powder coating can stand the test of time relative to chrome.

For me in North Idaho, it's all in the upkeep. They use some nasty de-icer on the roads here. If you don't keep up on the finish anything gets trashed. North Idaho is Dodge country and there are a million trucks up here with blacked out wheels. Some look good, but I personally want something different. The MKW's will get all season's and will be my summer wheels, my stockers with 35" MT's will serve winter duty.

We are an exclusive dealer for Hostile wheels, a new company that has some real simple wheels. Lots of X12 and X14 sizes. Look up Pro Installz on facebook. We do lifts for a local Dodge dealer, and there are several of those trucks on our page.

Think I got it narrowed down to 20x10 wheels with 35-12.5/20 tires or 22x11 wheels with 325/50-22 tires. Brad, are those 20's on your truck?
