I came across this wicked wake surf http://www.wickedwakesurf.com I am sure this has been a topic on here before but I didn't find much. Has anyone tried this? I like it because you don't have to bolt to your boat so if it didn't work out, there would not be any harm done to your boat. I have read on some other forums and all the reviews seem to be positive. I just wanted to check here and see what you guys thought?

They work great. I made my own though for half of what they charge, they're stupid easy to build.

yeah you could probably build your own for half of what they charge. but there is so experimentation needed. and its really affordable for what you get from them and no trial and error needed

but they also only work on certain boats ... there are some companies out there for other boat lines but i believe these only work on axis and malibu boats right now.

I built my own for a 05 tige 22V and it works great. Takes a few minutes to put on. Some have reported not being able to turn to the side of the fakegate instal. I notice a very small difference when turning to the left vs right. I built with marine grade plywood and marine carpet in a few hours one Saturday. Materials were left over from trailer repairs so materials cost were small.
It's not shown in the pic but I did add carpet inside the part that slides over the swimdeck. This was to prevent scratching and made fit more snug. I hold it in place using a rachet strap the goes from the transom eyelit accros the fakewake and to the swimdeck support bracket. It initially was going to be a temporary securing method but works so good I continue to use it.

Here is a YouTube video. This video was with 320lbs in the aft lockers and three 200lb guys in boat. This summer I am moving the 320's to the bow and buying either Enzo or Ronix eight.3 likely be 1100 each side. Can decide and hoping to find some used sacs in the next 3-4 weeks.

I will be working on the boat tomorrow and will post more pics of the DIY and include
Measuents

Thanks for the info guys. I found out they only did axis and Malibu Bc my pastor inquiried about a set for his x-45. I think he could get a set custom fit if he wanted to haul his boat to ATL which is about 5 hours. That would get costly.

You can build your own for any boat. Best part is its not science, just about anything you put back that causes the delay in the convergence of the waves works well. I built mine out;of 3/4 hdpe . **** I'll build one for you boat for the same price as wicked, message me

Yeah, no. That is100% incorrect. There is no magic involved, no special angles. The way it gets complicated is when trying to figure out t;o make one permanent mounted that deploys or making one that collapses when you store it.
