It's that time of year! Well it's been that time of year for the last 4 months....Lets see the pictures you find yourself looking at several times a week to get you by until the lake thaws out! Whether it's your secret slice of glass, your boat, your dock, or yourself throwing a massive tantrum into the flats. My pictures are good, but I know you guys have some better!

It was -30 degrees Celsius today so summer feels a LONG ways off. First pic is Lake Koocanusa in BC where we go to visit some friends. Second pic is our local lake. Its a tiny little craphole but its never busy and you always know everyone else out there. Not much to look at but i've had alot of great times there. Cant wait til summer.

Since I have no smooth water pictures to post I will show some of the "frozen" lake. We got tired of not being on the water so we headed out on the quads. Imagine our surprised look when we found water! Needless to say, we took the long way back around the lake to the boat launch to load back up.

Wakedirt,

In the pic I have the left ballast full (1250) right empty and a 750 sac in the front and one on the left side seat...I have changed it up a bit now...the 750 on the left seat in now in the locker and I fill the right about half full. I think the wave is pretty good!

I do not have a picture; however, I do have a video from this January my wife threw together. Just two people on the boat and my skills (if you can call them that) are a work in progress...It's fun though!

Michael,

Surf wave looks nice! I know you didn't post the video for critique, but if you bend your front knee a little and put a little more weight on it, you'll be better off, rather than leaning over when you find yourself falling behind on the wave.

Keep up the riding!

Here's one of our spots. It's rarely glassy like this here except in the early and late season when everyone is done playing., Sometimes we get lucky and it saves us a drive to our regular riding spot a few miles away. It is one of the most photogenic though.
This was taken on our last run of the season this year in November. It was kinda chilly, but well worth the butter and extended ride time of not having to drive out and lose precious daylight.

FYI: I-5 bridge between Portland and Vancouver on the Columbia.

That's actually the BNSF railroad bridge. I know because I've been over it about a thousand times.

The only crocs I have to watch out for are the awful rubber kind . I have 80 ft of dock that has come in and out each season so the freeze doesn't tear it up. I have pallets in the ground that have morphed into a permanent structure so I always put the lift out and line the dock up of the edge of the lift. I am usually the first one in for the season so needed a marker to shoot the dock at.

1st is view of my house from the water on a freekishly smooth night, then the view from my front door, then the view from behind my house. Last, one pic of our trip to Powell last October, in warm creek bay, during the middle of the government shut down, we got out right before the rangers closed the ramps for a week.
