There's proabbly only a handfull of people who have actually heard both. Both companies make great products, I doubt you could go wrong with either.

I've got the Deafcon's V's and really like them. They sound really good in and around the boat. You'll have no problem hearing them while riding either. I think they do require a lot of power...I run a Fosgate 1000.2 to them and the amp often gets hot when I'm really pushing them (read:have had a few beers and stereo isn't loud enough)That said...I think the NVS's are louder from what I've heard on the lake and seem to be more efficient.. I haven't heard them from in and around the boat, so I can't comment on that.
