This is Hawaii's version of Rhino Lining (Lava Lining). The powder coating was flaking off bad, and it's only 1.5 years old. The boat is kept outdoors and this was my idea to make the tower weather resistant. Has this been done before? Opinions please.....be gentle.

One of the problems I ran into, and fortunately I anticipated, was the increase in diameter of the tubes. It added approximately a half inch to the diameter. Fortunately my speaker clamps accomodated the increase. Upload

I've personally never heard of it or seen it before for that matter. Not sure if your the 1st but its not a bad idea for the powdercoated towers. I've always had the polished type. Looks good !

I thought about doing it too, I had a friend that was going to fab a tower for me, but I wound up buying one instead, I think it looks good, I used the roll on stuff for repainting my boat trailer, and I really like that, not very slippery

What a great idea for use in Salt Water environments. It looks pretty good. How much? Do they gaurantee the job?

This company was the only one who would guarentee their work. They sanded it down, put two coats of primer on and then coated it. They warrenteed it for the life of the tower. Cost was about $450 compared to $300 to powder coat....with no warrentee.
