How would you power this Wet Sounds setup?

I am getting ready to install a complete system in my new boat when it is delivered later this week.

I need advice on which amps would suit me best

Subwoofer is already figured out

How would you power(which amps would you use):

6x XS-650's

4x Rev10's

???

Do you want to stay with wetsounds amps?

two SD6s, with 2 channels from each one for the cabin speakers (4 channels total) and four from each one bridged into two to drive two revs per amp.

cheaper alternative would be something like an arc audio ks600.2 for the two pair of revs and ks300.4 for the cabin speakers.

As shawn said, Dual SD-6. Will give you 585x4 on the REV 10 and 185x2 on the one pair of 650 and 290x2 at 2 ohms so 145 net to each 650 for the last two pairs. This is a LOT of power.

Next option for cheaper but still a ton of power is our brand new SYN DX-6. Same deal, dual SYN DX-6. This would give you 400x4 to the REV 10's and 150 watts to each 650.

Cheapest option would be the new HTX series and dual HTX-6. This would give you 300x4 on the REV 10 and 100x2 on the one pair of 650 and 150x2 at 2 ohms so 75 watts net on the other two pairs. This is good power and will work and power wise would net the same result as the arc option.

What is the difference between all the WS series(SD, HTX, Syn, etc..) of amps?

We spent a couple years working with our amplifier engineer (zeff) on the design of the Sinister (SD) series to produce the highest performing marine amplifier ever built. Goals were: Power, Sound Quality, Efficiency, Feature Set, Ease of installation, Build Quality

Since they have been so well received we took everything we did on the SD series and we scaled that down into the SYN DX and HTX series. All the amp series share a family look. With less power as you go down in the series as well as different features. The three series are the HTX, SYN DX and SD. So a good- better- best line up. All are full range class D, single side connections, raised end caps for cooling and wire management.

Feature set varies by model. Lets take the 6 ch's for example, the HTX6 is even power across the board at 100x6 and bridged for 300x3, the SYN DX 6 is 125x4 and 150x2. The SYN DX 6 can be run in 3 ch mode for a REV 3-Some with 400x2 and 600x1. The SD6 is 185x6 and bridges to 585x3. It has variable bass boost on csh 1-2 or all channels since it has the power to run 3 subwoofers all off one amp. As well as the REV 3-Some and other set ups.

I bought the SYN DX-6 setup you recommended

After looking at the amps and seeing they have no RCA pass through, this set will require 8-10 RCA splitters!!! Is this good? Is there a better way to run RCA's?

No you will not need that many splitters, Our Amps have selection switches to internally sum the inputs. For instance, you can put one RCA into the amp 1-2 input and select the 3-4 and 5-6 input switches to 1-2 and now all channels are run off a single RCA.

For your set up. Best thing to do would be to call our tech support and ask for joe flores. Tell them what you have going and he can walk you though the easiest way to wore it up.

I actually stopped by your facility(in Houston) and spoke with him directly :-)

Problem was my Amps didn't come with instructions in the box and I didn't know those cover plates were removable and had the switches under them, neither did the stereo shop that sold them to me.

Anyways, they were able to print off a manual and show me what to do.
